- Derleme MakaleYalnız künye2020When Should Antibiotic Prophylaxis Be Performed to Prevent Surgical Side Infections? A Systematic Review

The systematic review was planned to examine the application time of antibiotic prophylaxis to prevent surgical side infections. The keywords, “antibiotic application time”, “antibiotic prophylaxis” and “surgical side infections”, were searched both in Turkish and English in Google Scholar, PUBMED, and EBSCO databases. A total of 5969 studies published between 2009 and 2019 were screened. After the literature review, 5 related studies that met the inclusion criteria were included in the study. Preoperative antibiotic prophylaxis and antibiotic application times were examined. In a study included in the study, it was shown that the risk of developing surgical site infection was reduced in patients who received antibiotics for proclactic purposes 60 minutes before incision line formation. In the remaining four studies, it was stated that prophylactic antibiotherapy applied 30 minutes before surgery minimizes the development of surgical site infection. It was revealed that the application of prophylactic antibiotherapy 30 minutes before the incision line minimizes the risk of infection in the surgical area and the literature should be supported by studies on the time of antibiotic administration.

The emergence of the new pathogenic viral strains is a constant threat to global health. The latest new coronavirus strain coronavirus-2019 (COVID-19) is the best-known example of this. COVID-19, caused by the severe acute respiratory syndrome-CoV-2 virus has quickly spread around the globe. The applications of drug and vaccine practices, and the identification of potential candidates are of high importance against this pandemic. On healthy adults, a proper evaluation of potential vaccines in parallel with vaccination studies on animal models and an enlargement of production capacity will benefit minimum risk and accelerated COVID-19 vaccine studies for human subjects. The purpose of this review is to contribute to the analysis of vaccine development strategies, vaccine development stages, phase studies and the difficulties, production stages and current status of potential vaccine studies developed to prevent COVID-19.

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of operating expenses on performance and growth in the petroleum and chemical industry. Operating expenses include research and development (R&D), marketing and administrative expenditures. Determining the distribution of these expenses in this industry an important issue. The data obtained from companies operating in the petroleum and chemical industry were analyzed using two separate models. Within the scope of research, it was determined that R&D expenditure has no significant effect on performance and growth. Marketing expenditure negatively affects performance and has no significant effect on growth. Finally, it was concluded that administrative expenditure has a significant positive effect on both performance and growth. These results indicate that ineffective R&D and marketing expenditures in this industry should be avoided. On the other hand, in terms of management function, it explains that expenditure should be shifted to the areas that will contribute, especially towards the future.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2. Patients undergoing chronic hemodialysis treatment are at a high risk of serious complications if infections occur because of suppressed immune system, cardiovascular disease, and important comorbidities, such as diabetes mellitus. To control and prevent the spread of the outbreak to patients and other healthcare professionals, it is necessary to be informed about COVID-19, to diagnose cases early, and to be treated. The purpose of this review is to discuss the communication, transport, predialysis screening and triage, and COVID-19 nursing management in patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment.

Buckwheat is a plant used for many purposes, such as consumed as a food and used in the treatment of diseases. It is a good source of many vitamins and minerals and has balanced nutritional value. Because of its nutrient content and many positive effects on human health, buckwheat has become a functional food, recently. Main effects of buckwheat on human health are its hypotensive, hypoglycemic, hypocholesterolemic, neuroprotective and antioxidant effects. Thus, it is considered an alternative food component in dietary treatment for chronic and metabolic diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension and celiac disease. Also, its rich nutrient content supports daily diet and provides a better eating profile. As a result, buckwheat is accepted as a functional food, suggested to improve human health and is used in the treatment of diseases. The aim of this review is to explain some positive effects of buckwheat on human health.

Modern çağdaki Arap romanları savaş konularından fazlasıyla ilham almış, dikkat çekecek şekilde roman yazarları bundan esinlenmişlerdir. Çünkü romanlar, şiirler ve diğer edebi türdeki yazılardan içerik ve konu bakımından daha fazla hareket alanına sahiptirler. Dolayısıyla savaş içerikli roman yazan güçlü kalemler, fazlasıyla bu konuyla ilgilenmişlerdir. Modern çağda birçok savaş içerikli romanlar yazılmış ve bunların niceleri de Arapların tarihteki savaşlarını ele almıştır!. Tarihin herhangi bir sürecinde gerçekleşmiş olan bir savaşı ele alan romanlar bütün gücünü, okuyucunun daha önce başka bir yerde ulaşamadığı olayları ve bilgileri aktarmasından almaktadırlar. Tarihçiler genellikle tarihi savaşları ele aldıklarında savaşın nerede ve hangi tarihte gerçekleştiğini, komutanların adlarını ve savaşan orduların asker sayılarını ve sonucunu belirtirken, savaş romanı yazarları, bunlara ek olarak savaşan insanların duygu ve düşüncelerine de yer vermektedir. Ayrıca kişisel basit insan tiplemelerini de ele alırlar. Bu yüzden savaş romanları, okuyucusu için tarihçilerin ele almadıkları konuları ve bilgileri aktaran tarihi ve edebi vesika olarak kabul edilirler. Suriye’de 2011 yılında başlayıp hala devam etmekte olan savaş, modern çağımızda insanları etkileyen en büyük savaşlardan birisidir. Öyle ki bu savaş sadece Suriye halkını etkilemekle kalmamış tüm dünya insanlarını etkilemiş olup etkisi Suriye sınırlarını taşarak çok geniş bir coğrafyayı, özellikle de komşu ülkeleri etkisi altına almıştır. Bu çalışma 2011-2018 yılları arasında Suriye’deki savaşın roman üzerindeki yansımalarını ortaya koymaya çalışmaktadır. Araştırma roman yazarı Ahmed Ziyad Muhabbik’in “Nil Caddesinde Bir Daire” romanını ele alır ve kısaca romanı özetler. Savaşın insan yaşamı üzerinde ölüm, hicret ve göçler olarak yaptığı etkiyi ortaya koyar. Savaş sonucu yıkılan ve harabeye çevrilen mekânların, insanların yaşamlarına olan etkilerini ele alır. Savaş suçlarının acı verici görüntüsünü okuyucuya resmederek romanın savaş durumundaki rolünü açıklamaya çalışır. Savaşın olaylara etkisini sanatsal bir dille aktararak görevini yerine getirir. Son olarak bu çalışma romanda konu edilen savaşın sonuçlarına ait tabloyu ortaya koymaya çalışır.

İnsan hakları ile demokrasi arasında vazgeçilmez bir ilişkinin olduğunadair öteden beri yaygın bir kanaat söz konusudur. Öyle ki kamuoyunda insanhakları ve demokrasinin sıklıkla bir arada kullanılan iki kavram oldukları görül-mektedir. Diğer taraftan demokratik ülkelerin insan haklarına aykırı tutumlariçinde bulundukları dikkat çekmektedir. Buna göre insan haklarının belirlediğieşitlik anlayışı ile demokrasinin benimsediği eşitlik anlayışı arasında temel birfarklılık olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Mezkûr farklılığın temellerinin felsefi bağ-lamda analiz edilmesi sorunun aydınlatılması bakımından önem arz etmektedir.Sorunun temellerinin aydınlatılması ile birlikte insan hakları ile demokrasiilişkisinde yaşanan sorunların giderilmesi adına bazı çözüm önerilerine ulaşmakmümkün olacaktır.

Nowadays, counterfeits of original branded products have begun to be produced and counterfeit branded products have gained a significant share in the world market. So that, some counterfeit branded products have taken precedence of the original brands in the subject of dominance of the market. At this point, the concept of brand value of the firms which produce counterfeit branded product can not imitate in original branded products have come into prominence. In this study, it was aimed to determine the effects of consumer-based brand equity dimensions (brand loyalty, brand awareness, brand associations and perceived quality) on consumer’s perception of counterfeit branded products. For this purpose, the students studying at the central campus of Gumushane University were determined as the main population of the research. The random sampling method (stratified random sample) was used to represent highly the main population of the selected sample and a face-to-face questionnaire was applied to a total of 501 university students from institutes, faculties and higher schools. The obtained data as a result of the questionnaire were analyzed with various statistical methods and ıt has been determined that the consumer-based brand-equity dimensions have positive effects on consumers’ perception of counterfeit branded.

The purpose of this study is to determine the effects of perceived quality and brand loyalty of consumer ethnocentrism on brand personality. The study also examines the effects of consumer ethnocentrism on perceived quality and brand loyalty. In the eastern Black Sea region (Artvin, Rize, Trabzon, Gumushane), which was determined as the main universe of the study, a face-to-face survey was applied to 806 people determined by convenience sampling method. After the elimination of incomplete and incorrect surveys, 560 questionnaires were obtained. The Cronbach Alpha method was used for the reliability of the data and factor analysis method was used for their validity. Multiple linear regression analysis was used for testing hypotheses. As a result of the analysis, it has been determined that consumer ethnocentrism, perceived quality and brand loyalty have a significant effect on brand personality. Another finding of the study is that consumer ethnocentrism has a significant influence on brand loyalty and perceived quality. In line with these findings, the use of promotional activities such as advertising, sales efforts and public relations of the national branded companies in the food sector can provide a significant benefit to both national branded businesses and consumers by ensuring that consumers feel their personality characteristics in the cream chocolate brand. Moreover, the increase in the ethnocentric trend in the sector may also affect perceived quality and brand loyalty.

Fevzi Çakmak (1876-1950) is mainly known with his Military personality and activities in Turkey. The fact that he is one of the few soldiers with the title of Marshal is enough to show his success in the Military profession. He was also noted as; the Minister of Defence in the First cabinet of the executive ministers of Turkey in 1921,the Chairman of the second cabinet of the executive ministers of Turkey, and the Chief of General Staff from 1924 and 1944 without interruption. However it is little known, Fevzi Pasha has an important role in the political life in the multi-party period as well. In 1944, Fevzi Çakmak, who did not intend to retire from the Chief of General Staff except for his request, found himself in the middle of Politics after loneliness he had lived for a short time.The study discusses Fevzi Çakmak's activities and role in the political life between1946-1950. The process of rapprochement with the Democratic Party (DP) and becoming an independent member of parliament and even the desire for him to lead the DP will be examined in the paper. Then, the activities of the Marshal that heinitiated with some circles of left-wing and abandoned in a short time in the context of human rights will be evaluated. In the meantime, the debates on how the leftist circles wanted himto launch a public movement in the country getting ridof the oppressiveness will be included. Later, the process of becoming the honorary chairman of the Nation Party (MP) formed by the people most of whom left the DP following the Marshal’s separation from the DP afte the July 12 Declaration as a result of his worsening Relations with the party will be mentioned. Fevzi Çakmak ,like the other ones who setup the MP, thought that the DP did not have enough strong opposition against the Republican People’s Party(CHP). In the last part of the paper, the political activities of Marshal Çakmak who spent the last two years of his life in the MP will be examined within the framework of character analysis and leadership features. The paper not only discusses the four-year wavy political life of Fevzi Çakmak who was seized by great ambitions and entered politics in 1946 as a result of self- confidence based on Military Reputation and the love given by the people, but it also examines the case of his being manipulated by some political currents and parties because of his personality which is unfamiliar witht he functioning of political life. How and with which motives Fevzi Çakmak, an obedient person to the legitimate and existing authority pushed himself into a strong opponent against the political staff that he had been to gether with for nearly 25 years will be examined. In that, during the election in 1946 and his presence in the Assembly, the Marshal had strong opposition against the CHP and İnönü, which did not arise from policy differences.

In many countries in the world over the last 150 years, the tax burden has expanded significantly. In this respect, the tax size and scope of the governments are a theme that repeats itself in both public and public and academic discussions. In this study, the factors affecting the tax burden of the government (economic, political) in the 80 countries on the database of the World Bank were examined. In the study which used the 5-year averages of 1990-2015 years, the effect of economic and political factors on the tax burden was tested using the OLS and 2SLS methods. According to empirical findings, political polarization decreases the tax burden and that heterogeneous societies are less willing to participate in the financing of public services.

Ancak teorik veampirik literatür yalnızca denetim ve cezalandırmaüzerine kurulu vergi uyumu politikası ile başarıyaulaşamayacağı gerçeğini ortaya koymaktadır.Bu nedenle mükelleflerin vergilerini gönüllü olaraködemelerine etki eden ve uyumluluk kültürlerinigeliştiren sebepler incelenmeye başlanmıştır.Mükelleflerin vergi ödemeye yönelik tutumlarıincelenirken içsel bir motivasyon olan vergi ahlakıkavramına ulaşılmıştır. Vergi uyumunun daha iyianlaşılabilmesi için vergi ahlakına etki eden belirleyicilerintespit edilmesi gereklidir. Bu amaçlahazırlanan çalışmada ahlaki teşviklerin mükelleflerinvergilerini ödemesi için en önemli bileşenlerolduğu tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada dünyada veTürkiye’de vergi ahlakının teorik-pratik altyapısıincelenerek vergi ahlakını etkileyen birçok belirleyicitespit edilmiştir. Kültürlerarası farklılıklardanötürü bu belirleyiciler değişebilmekle birlikte herdurumda vergi uyumu için en önemli etkenlerolduğu görülmüştür. Vergi ahlakına dair yapılançalışmalarda çeşitli yöntemlerin kullanıldığı veTürkiye’de en çok tercih edilen yöntemin anketlerolduğu dikkat çekmektedir. Türkiye’deki akademikçalışmalarda daha çok sosyo-kültürel, sosyodemografikve vergi bilinci değişkenlerinin vergiahlakı üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır.

Tax planning is a method used by large international companies to reduce tax burdens. The most important argument used to benefit from these plans is the tax gaps between countries. For countries and companies, there is nothing illegal about using tax planning. However, if tax planning becomes a factor that causes tax loss in countries, aggressive tax planning that creates problems emerges. Because, tax planning is now used as an application that contradicts the spirit of tax law. It is noteworthy that aggressive tax planning is mostly used by major international digital companies. The Double Irish-Dutch Sandwich method is a special form of aggressive tax planning that reduces tax burden through copyright use and causes tax losses. These methods between tax avoidance and tax evasion, cause tax losses with the uncertainties they create in the economic system. One of the most important methods that countries will use to compensate their tax losses is to determine the factors causing these losses. Then, strategies to eliminate these factors need to be identified. For this reason, it is important to define the main characteristics and motivations of aggressive tax planning and Double IrishDutch Sandwich method. Countries’ own efforts are important in the fight against these methods. However, it seems difficult to achieve success without international cooperation.

Increased consumer interest in poultry meat produced in different production systems necessitates more detailed examination and comparison of chicken meat characteristics. Factors such as habit, reliability, product characteristics, animal welfare and sensitivity to environmental problems affect consumers’ preference to these products. Researches report that production systems and genotypes can be effective on protein, fat, fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, tenderness, juiciness, color and flavor. It was investigated that the effects of production systems and genotype on some chemical, physical and sensory characteristics of chicken meat in this review.

This study was compiled from the results of various researches performed on using diethyl etheras a fuel or fuel additive in diesel engines. Three different techniques are used for the reductionof the harmful exhaust emissions of diesel engines. The first technique for the reduction ofharmful emissions is improved the combustion by modification of engine design and fuelinjection system, but this process is expensive and time consuming. The second technique is theusing various exhaust gas devices like catalytic converter and diesel particulate filter. However,the use of these devices affects negatively diesel engine performance. The final technique toreduce emissions and also improve diesel engine performance is the use of various alternativefuels or fuel additives. The major pollutants of diesel engines are oxide of nitrogen (NOx) andsmoke or particulate matter (PM). It is very difficult to reduce NOx and PM simultaneously inpractice. Most of the researchers declare that the best way to reduce is the use of variousalternative fuels i.e. natural gas, biogas, biodiesel or using the additives with alternative fuels orconventional diesel fuel. Therefore, it is very important that the results of various studies onalternative fuels or fuel additives are evaluated together to practice applications. Especially, thisstudy focus on the use of diethyl ether in diesel engines as fuel or fuel additive in various dieselengine fuels. This review study investigates the effects of diethyl ether addition on the smokeand PM emissions.

Pet therapy or animal-assisted therapy is a form of adjunctive nonpharmacologic treatment that stimulates physiological and psychological diseases with interactions between animals and animals that meet certain criteria and stimulates the necessary body mechanisms in the development of human health and behavior.In many studies using robot simulations with many domestic animals such as cats, dogs, birds and fish, the benefits of pet therapy on the elderly health and behavior have been proven. However, there is no clear information about the use of elderly in the treatment of schizophrenia and depression.Therapy has been proven by epidemiological studies that can reduce blood pressure in elderly and hypertensive individuals and reduce the risk of complications in those with cardiovascular disease by increasing physical activity when administered together with conducting dogs. Despite the fact that studies on pet therapy are inadequate and generally have not yet been implemented in our country, pet ownership is increasing due to the positive subjective feelings that many people have against animals. In this article; The effects on the elderly health of pet therapy applications have been examined in the light of the literature.

İnternetin hayatımıza girmesi ile yaşanan toplumsal dönüşüm, sosyal ağların bilhassa 2004’de Facebook’undahil olmasıyla farklı bir boyut kazanmıştır. Facebook kullanımının kişiler üzerinde yol açtığı olumlu veolumsuz durumlar ve davranış örüntüleri araştırılmaya başlanmış, Facebook’un kişileri yalnızlaştırdığı görüşüile bu görüşü destekleyen araştırma verileri dikkat çekmiştir. Çalışmada görüşme tekniğinden faydalanılarak,katılımcıların yalnızlık algısı ve Facebook kullanımının yalnızlığı gidermede üstlendiği rol araştırılmıştır.Araştırmada katılımcıların, öncelikle yalnızlık kavramına, aile içi, arkadaş grubu ve romantik ilişkilerindeyaşanılan yalnızlık duygusuna ilişkin görüşleri ortaya konulmuş, sonrasında görüşme verileri, kodlaradönüştürülmüştür. Yalnızlık kavramına ilişkin katılımcıların olumlu, olumsuz ve hem olumlu hem olumsuzbir yaklaşım sergilediği bulunmuştur. Ayrıca aile içi, arkadaş çevresi ve romantik ilişkilerde hissedilen ortakyalnızlık duygusuna sebep olan temel etken iletişimsizlik olup, başka unsurlar da etkili olmaktadır. Bazıkatılımcılar, Facebook kullanımının yalnızlık duygusunu bastırmada faydası olduğunu düşünürken, bazılarısahte dünya yaratan bir mecranın yalnızlık duygusunu bastırmada etkili olamayacağını ifade etmiştir.Çalışmadan elde edilen verilerin sosyal medya kullanan bireylerin psikolojik tahlilini yapmaya çalışanaraştırmacılara katkıda bulunacağı düşünülmektedir

Bu çalışma; dizel, biyodizel, su içeren emülsiyon yakıtları ve çeşitli yakıt karışımları gibi dizel motoryakıtlarında nano materyal içerikli katkıların kullanımı üzerine yapılmış çeşitli çalışmaların sonuçlarındanderlenmiştir. Dizel motorlarda zararlı egzoz emisyonlarını azaltması için üç farklı teknik uygulanmaktadır.Zaralı emisyonları azaltmak için uygulanan tekniklerden ilki motor tasarımda ve yakıt püskürtme sistemindedeğişiklikler yapılarak yanmanın iyileştirilmesidir. Ancak bu pahalı ve zaman alıcı bir süreçtir. İkinci teknikkatalitik konvertör ve partikül filtresi gibi çeşitli egzoz gazı cihazlarını kullanmaktır. Dizel motorlarda, emisyonları azaltmak ve aynı zamandadizel motorun performansını artırmak için kullanılan üçüncü teknik ise çeşitli yakıt katkılarınınkullanılmasıdır. Dizel motorlardan yayılan en önemli kirleticiler azot oksit (NOx) ve partikül madde (PMis) emisyonlarıdır. Uygulamada, NOx ve PM emisyonlarını birlikte azaltmak oldukça zordur. Emisyonlarıazaltmanın ve motor performansını artırmanın en iyi yolunun nano materyal içerikli katkıların ve suylaemülsiyonlaştırılmış yakıtların kullanımı olduğu birçok araştırmacı tarafından bildirilmektedir. Buderlemede çeşitli dizel motor yakıtlarında farklı nano materyal içerikli katkıların kullanımının yakıtözelliklerine ve yanma karakteristiklerine etkileri incelenmiştir.

Obezite, vücutta depolanan yağ miktarının fazla olması ile ortayaçıkan, fiziksel ve ruhsal sorunlara neden olabilen bir enerji metabolizması bozukluğudur. Son 20 yılda tüm dünyada obezite sıklığındaartış gözlenmektedir. Türkiye’de yakın zamana kadar çocuklardakişişmanlık üzerinde pek durulmamış ve “şişman çocuk sağlıklı çocuk” anlayışı aileler tarafından yaygın bir biçimde kabul görmüştür.Ancak son yıllarda Dünya ile birlikte Türkiye’de de artan obeziteprevalansı ve çocukluk çağı obezitesi ile hipertansiyon, diyabet, kardiyovasküler hastalıklar gibi birçok hastalık arasında yakın ilişki olduğunun anlaşılması tüm Dünya’da olduğu gibi Türkiye’de de hemsağlık profesyonellerinin hem de toplumun çocukluk çağı obezitesinebakışını değiştirmiştir. Çocukluk ve adölesan döneminde başlayanobezitenin ileri yaşlarda da devam ettiği bilinmektedir. Bu nedenleerken dönemde bu olguların saptanması ve gerekli tedavi yaklaşımlarında bulunulması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı önemli birsağlık sorunu olan çocukluk çağı obezitesine dikkat çekmektir.

Kültürel ve doğal kaynaklara bağlı olan turizm sektöründe kaynakların gelecek nesillerin ihtiyaçlarını dikkatte alarak kontrollükullanımını ifade eden sürdürülebilirlik yaklaşımı son yıllarda üzerinde sıklıkla durulan konulardan biridir. Sürdürülebilirliğin zamanzaman bir turizm çeşidi olarak nitelendirildiği görülse de sürdürülebilirliğin tüm turizm çeşitlerine entegre edilebilen ve sağlıklı turizmgelişiminin gereği olarak nitelendirilebilen bir yaklaşım olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. Son yıllarda turistik tercihlerin değişimi ile birlikte yeniyeni gündeme gelmeye başlayan turizm türlerinden biride yaratıcı turizmdir. Yaratıcı turizm kısaca somut olmayan kültürel unsurlarınturistler için tüketilebilir deneyimler haline dönüştürülmesi olarak ifade edilebilir. Kültür turizminin bir uzantısı olarak görülen yaratıcıturizm sürdürülebilir turizm gelişimine destek olabilecek bir alternatif olarak nitelendirilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda çalışmada sürdürülebilirturizm gelişimi sürecinde yaratıcı turizmin önemi irdelenmiş ve konunun önemine dikkat çekmek istenmiştir.
