    Üniversite Tercihlerinde Prestij, Deneyim ve Kulaktan Kulağa İletişimin Etkisi

    Bu çalışmanın amacı, üniversite tercihlerinde algılanan dışsal prestijin öğrenci ödüllendirme deneyimi üzerindeki etkisini belirlemek veöğrenci ödüllendirme deneyiminin de kulaktan kulağa iletişim (gelişen ihtiyaçlar, bilginin toplanması, alternatiflerin değerlendirilmesi vememnuniyet) üzerindeki etkisini araştırmaktır. Araştırmanın ana evreni Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi, Recep Tayyip ErdoğanÜniversitesi ve Gümüşhane Üniversitesi’nde öğrenim gören ön lisans ve lisans öğrencilerinden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada yargısalörnekleme yöntemi kullanılmış ve üniversite öğrencilerine yüz yüze anket yöntemiyle 800 anket uygulanmıştır. SPSS25 ve AMOSistatistik programlarıyla elde edilen verilerin analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma verilerinin güvenilirliğinin belirlemesinde cronbachalfa yöntemi, geçerliliğinin belirlenmesinde ise faktör analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma hipotezleri ise yapısal eşitlik modellemesiyle testedilmiştir. Analiz sonucunda algılanan dışsal prestijin öğrenci ödüllendirme deneyimi üzerinde anlamlı ve pozitif yönde etkisi olduğutespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda elde edilen diğer bir bulgu ise, öğrenci ödüllendirme deneyiminin gelişen ihtiyaçlar, bilginintoplanması, alternatiflerin değerlendirilmesi ve memnuniyet üzerinde anlamlı ve pozitif yönlü bir etkisi olduğudur. Bu doğrultudaYükseköğretim Kurulu Başkanlığı’nın “Bölgesel Kalkınma Odaklı Misyon Farklılaşması ve İhtisaslaşma Projesi" çerçevesindebelirlenen üniversitelerin, bölgelerindeki koşullar dikkate alınarak daha geniş kapsamlı çalışmalar yapılabilir. Ayrıca, dünyada veülkemizde alan sıralamasında öne çıkan üniversiteler ile bu proje kapsamında belirlenen üniversitelerin alanlarında/bölümlerinde çokveya tek boyutlu yapılacak çalışmalar literatüre katkı sağlayabilir.

    Reflections of Silent Revolution: The Great Picture of SWOT Analysis of the Metropolitan and Provincial Municipalities of Turkey by Text Mining

    There have been significant changes in the sense of both legal and administrative thanks to carrying out the reforms in Turkey who deeply feel neo-liberal policies in the world in public administration domain with new public operation paradigm since 2000s. Through this evolutionary effort in the field of public administration, it is seen that notions, models, principles and techniques based on factors such as productivity, efficiency, quality and cost are used. In strategic planning, after the private sector as the most important link of the ongoing silent revolution in public administration, it started to find its place in the literature of public administration. With the effect of this paradigm change in the discipline of public administration, strategic planning studies, which is an important element used in the field of local government, is one of the areas where both academicians and practitioners work most. By examining the strategic plans between 2015-2019 of 56 metropolitans and provincial municipalities out of 81 cities in Turkey, based on their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats which encountered in their internal and external environment is tried to determine which field is the most emphasized by text mining.

    Is Sustainable Tourism Really Sustainable?: Critical Evaluations Towards Sustainable Tourism

    This study was carried out in order to reveal a criticism about the phenomenon of sustainable tourism. In this context, by reviewing the existing literature, the studies conducted on sustainable tourism criticisms were collected. Then, the criticism points revealed in these studies were determined with the method of systematical literature review, and based on these criticism points the main criticism dimensions of sustainable tourism were identified. In this context, it has been understood that there are five dimensions regarding to sustainable tourism criticisms. These dimensions are hypocrisy, vagueness/ambiguity, delusions, theory-practice inconsistency and inadequacy of literature. In this context, the hypocrisies in current practice, conceptual and semantic ambiguities, the delusions that shift people's focus in different directions, the inconsistencies that arise from the inability of the theories to adapt to practice and the missing aspects of the literature have been evaluated. Using sustainability only as a marketing tool, ambiguity of what is to be sustained, industry's misdirecting with sustainable discourses, theories that do not turn into practice, and vicious circles in examined themes despite the growth in number of studies were identified as main criticisms.

    EFQM Perfection Model: A Research in Manufacturing Businesses in The East Mediterranean Region

    One type of total quality management studies is quality awards. In Japan, The first of the quality awards is Deming's quality award given in memory of Deming since 1951. After Japan, quality awards have been given in the United States (MBNQA - Malcolm Baldridge National Quality Awards) since 1987, in Australia since 1988 (AQA - Australian Quality Award) and in Europe since 1992. The European Quality Management Foundation Perfection Model, or EFQM Perfection Model, is an important model in Total Quality Management for the application of quality philosophy in enterprises. The model aims to define the manager's duties, to use all the resources of the enterprise effectively and efficiently, to create strategies and policies that will carry the business further and to improve continuously. In this study, the extent to which the model was accepted in the enterprises operating in the Eastern Mediterranean was investigated. The research was carried out on 80 manufacturing enterprises operating in the Eastern Mediterranean. The data obtained from the study were evaluated by using SPSS program.

    Public Awareness About The Economic, Social, Environmental and Cultural Effects of Tourism; Gümüşhane Example

    Tourism is seen as an important economic resource especially for developing regions. It is an important issue that tourism should have social, environmental and cultural negative effects which have significant positive effects especially in economic terms. The development of tourism with a sustainable approach and participatory planning approach will contribute to the controlled development of tourism in the region as well as the protection of existing resources. The aim of this study is to reveal the awareness and knowledge levels of the local people, who is one of the important stakeholders of tourism, about the effects of tourism in Gumushane province which is thought to be development stage related to tourism. When the results are examined, the participants have an idea about the effects of tourism in general. However, it is considered that awareness should be raised about especially in terms of negative impacts, how resources can be used in a sustainable way and how to participate actively in tourism activities.

    Sürdürülebilir Turizm Gelişimi ve Yaratıcı Turizm

    Kültürel ve doğal kaynaklara bağlı olan turizm sektöründe kaynakların gelecek nesillerin ihtiyaçlarını dikkatte alarak kontrollükullanımını ifade eden sürdürülebilirlik yaklaşımı son yıllarda üzerinde sıklıkla durulan konulardan biridir. Sürdürülebilirliğin zamanzaman bir turizm çeşidi olarak nitelendirildiği görülse de sürdürülebilirliğin tüm turizm çeşitlerine entegre edilebilen ve sağlıklı turizmgelişiminin gereği olarak nitelendirilebilen bir yaklaşım olduğunu söyleyebiliriz. Son yıllarda turistik tercihlerin değişimi ile birlikte yeniyeni gündeme gelmeye başlayan turizm türlerinden biride yaratıcı turizmdir. Yaratıcı turizm kısaca somut olmayan kültürel unsurlarınturistler için tüketilebilir deneyimler haline dönüştürülmesi olarak ifade edilebilir. Kültür turizminin bir uzantısı olarak görülen yaratıcıturizm sürdürülebilir turizm gelişimine destek olabilecek bir alternatif olarak nitelendirilmektedir. Bu doğrultuda çalışmada sürdürülebilirturizm gelişimi sürecinde yaratıcı turizmin önemi irdelenmiş ve konunun önemine dikkat çekmek istenmiştir.

    Bibliometric Profile of Postgraduate Theses Prepared to Determine the Impact of Climate Change on Tourism

    The aim of this research is to analyze bibliometrically the various post-graduate theses that are prepared to determine the effect of climate change on tourism. For this purpose, a total of 38 theses were analyzed by bibliometric analysis method, which consists of 14 master and 24 doctoral theses which were found to be related to the effect of climate change on tourism, from the database of YOK National Thesis Center and Proquest database. In the classification of the theses, parameters such as "thesis type", "published year", "published university", "published graduate school", "published field", "type of research", "application area", "method" and "thesis work". The theses included in the scope of the research were subjected to frequency analysis according to the related parameters. This study is thought to be important in terms of showing the deficiencies in the relevant literature to the researchers who will make research on the relationship between climate change and tourism.

    Zenginleştirilmiş Jeoturizm Güzergahlarına Dair Farkındalık Oluşturulması: Eski Gümüşhane-Dörtkonak Güzergahı

    Yaşamın her alanında olduğu gibi sürdürülebilir turizmde de en önemli olgulardan birisi farkındalık oluşturabilmektir. Her anlamdaelimizin altında birçok değere sahibiz. Bu değerler kalkınmaya katkı verecek; hatta sosyal, kültürel ve çevresel anlamda dakalkınmamızda, gelişmemizde katkı verecek büyük bir potansiyeli içermesine rağmen öncelikli olarak kendimiz bu değerlerin farkındaolmadığımız gibi farkında olsak bile farkındalık oluşturamadığımız için heba ediyoruz. Bunda en önemli faktörlerden birisi de bahsekonu değerlerimizi doğal çevresinden soyutlayarak ele alıyor olmamızdır. Ülkemizin coğrafik konumu ve jeolojik süreçlerdeki yeridikkate alındığında gerek bilimsel gerekse kültürel değere sahip doğal varlıklar bağlamında birçok zenginliğimiz bulunmaktadır. Budeğerlerin; sürdürülebilir turizm bağlamında ve jeoturizm ilkelerini de dikkate alarak oluşturulacak zenginleştirilmiş jeoturizmgüzergâhlarının (jeoturizm rotalarının) belirlenerek farkındalık oluşturulması hem yerel ölçekte hem de bölgesel ölçek sürdürülebilirturizme dayalı kalkınma ve hatta sürdürülebilir çevre bilincinin oluşturulmasında önemli bir yeri olacaktır. Bu bakış açısı altında,Gümüşhane-Eski Gümüşhane-Dörkonak güzergâhı zenginleştirilmiş jeoturizm rotası olarak ele alınmıştır. Bahse konu güzergâh;doğal, kültürel ve jeolojik unsurları ile bir arada toplum dikkatine sunularak farkındalık oluşturması hedeflenmiştir. Bu çalışmakapsamında günübirlik olarak yerel halkın keyifle gideceği bir güzergâh tanıtılmış olup, ayrıca ulusal, uluslararası ölçekte de güzergâhıngünübirlik zenginleştirilmiş jeoturizm güzergâhı olarak kazandırılabileceği ve şehir turizmine katkı verirken bir yandan da çevre bilincinoluşumuna katkı vereceği düşünülmektedir

    Assessment of The Eastern Black Sea Region Plateau Tourism According to The Experiences of The Tourist Guides

    There is an increasing interest in destinations where nature is not disturbed and people can integrate with nature. However, living in nature and interacting with local people is not easy for tourists who do not know the region. There is a need for guidelines that will lead to interaction and facilitate communication in nature tourism such as plateau tourism. Tourist guides have a lot to roll in all areas of tourism and especially in the tourism of the highland, such as communication with local people, safety of tourists and so on. Thus, the purpose of this research is to analyze the experiences of the tourist guides in the Eastern Black Sea Region. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with expert tourism guides in the field, Descriptive analysis was performed on the obtained data. In terms of the results obtained in the study, it was determined that the local people were negatively looking for mass tourist tours.

    Credit Risk Measurement Based On Macroeconomic Variables: Credit Risk Stress Test Application in the Banking Sectors of Turkey

    The purpose of this study is to predict the ratio of non-performing loans as well as expected loss, unexpected loss and credit at risk values in the banking sector of Turkey as a result of macro-economic shocks under hypothetical scenarios. Credit risk models were developed by including macro-economic variables affecting the credit risk based on the Credit Portfolio View approach proposed by Thomas Wilson in 1997. Scenario analysis was employed as well as Monte Carlo Simulations with respect to significant variables in the credit risk models. In the credit risk models, non-performing loans was used as the dependent variable, while unemployment rate, interest rate, money supply, inflation and GDP were used as explanatory variables. When stress test was applied to macro-economic variables which affect the banking sectors in Turkey, it was observed that the shocks seemed to be influential on the non-performing loans

    Recreational Use of Protected Areas Found in The Eastern Black Sea Region

    Protected areas are areas where educational and recreational use of natural and cultural areas with special precaution is provided where educational activities and scientific research are carried out, genetic diversity and species are kept, cultural, traditional, symbolic natural resources are avoided and sustainable from damaging effects. Recreation is, as a definition, expressed as activities that people make with their own will in their free time in order to restore old weariness of soul and body health. In this study, the protected areas in the provinces of Artvin, Giresun, Gümüşhane, Rize and Trabzon in Eastern Black Sea Region were selected as material. It is aimed to determine and compare visitor numbers between 2010-2017 in these areas. The visitor numbers of provinces were compared using one way ANOVA. As of 2018, there are 3 protected areas in Artvin, 5 in Gümüşhane, 8 in Trabzon, 6 in Rize and 4 in Giresun as recreational use. Total protected areas within the boundaries of the regional directorate are 450,411 in 2010, 555,678 in 2011, 973,391 in 2012, 1,936,608 in 2013, 1,601,913 in 2014, 1,458,617 in 2015, 1,558,290 in 2016, and finally 1,911,429 in 2017 people visited the site. As a result, visitor numbers have increased in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 and there has been no decrease in 2014 and 2015. In 2016 and 2017, the number of visitors has increased again. The largest number of visitors was registered in 2013, and the least number of visitors was registered in 2010. The most visited province was Trabzon while the least visited was in Giresun province. It can be said that as the number of visitors increases with the number of years, it is important that the number of declared protected areas increase, the protected areas become more capable of providing quality services, and the recreation needs of people increase gradually.

    Effects of Hedonic and Utilitarian Consumption on Eelectronic Marketing and Purchase Behavior

    In the present day, the rate of internet users is increasing rapidly. Internet marketing activities have also increased by the spread of the internet.. By eliminating the concepts of time and distance, the Internet makes it possible for consumers to buy the product they want at any time of the day and anywhere in the world. There are many factors that drive consumers into electronic shopping, and consumers are making purchasing behavior for different purposes. In this study, it is aimed to determine the effect of hedonic and utilitarian motives of consumers on electronic marketing and purchasing behavior and the effect of electronic marketing on purchasing behavior. For this purpose, consumers living in Sakarya province were determined as the main mass of the study. The convenience sampling method (stratified non-random sample) was used to represent highly the main population of the selected sample and a faceto-face questionnaire was applied to a total 406 consumers from Sakarya province. The data obtained from the surveys were analyzed by Spss 21 and Amos 24 programs and it was determined that hedonic and utilitarian consumption had positive effects on electronic marketing and purchasing behavior. In addition, electronic marketing has a positive effect on purchasing behavior.

    İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği Alanında Türkiye’de Yapılan Lisansüstü Tez Çalışmalarının İncelenmesi

    Bu çalışma; Türkiye’de 1978–2017 yılları arasında İş Sağlığı ve Güvenliği (İSG) alanında çalışılan lisansüstü tezlerin betimsel biranalizi yapılarak, çalışmaların farklı kriterlere göre nasıl bir dağılım gösterdiğini belirleme amacıyla planlanmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini,Türkiye’deki üniversitelerde yapılmış olan lisansüstü tezleri, örneklemini ise İSG alanındaki yükseköğretim kurulu tez veri merkezindebulunan, 2017 yılına kadar tamamlanmış tezler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmamız retrospektif tipte, tanımlayıcı kayıt taramasıçalışmasıdır. Tezler; ait oldukları anabilim dalı, üniversite, enstitü, yayınladıkları yıl, türü ve konu alanı açısından analiz edilerekaraştırma eğilimleri belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda İSG ile ilgili 1022 adet Yüksek Lisans, 124 adet Doktora ve 23 adet TıptaUzmanlık olmak üzere toplam 1169 adet lisansüstü teze ulaşılmıştır. Araştırma, benzer çalışmalar ile oluşacak yığılmalarınönlenebilmesi ve insan kaynaklarının daha etkili ve verimli bir şekilde yönlendirilebilmesi açısından önemlidir.

    Assessment of The Financial And Social Effects of Taxes Proposed on A Global Scale

    The globalization process has created a number of problems that countries cannot produce solutions alone. Global financial instability, environmental pollution, global warming and poverty are some of these problems. The idea of taxation at the global level is one of the issues that come to the fore to solve problems. Thus taxes at the global level are expected to serve as a good policy tool as well as being an important source of funding. There are varieties of global tax propasals for many purposes, especially for the solution of environmental and financial problems. The aim of this study is to evaluate the taxation on the global scale from financial and social perspectives. The results of the study show that global taxes may have important functions in the financial and social aspects but that the expected success from taxation depends on global co-operation above all else. It should also be noted that these taxes are currently a proposal and that there are significant obstacles to the implementation of these taxes.

    Pazarlama Felsefelerinin Tarihsel Gelişimine Yönelik Bir İnceleme

    Yakın dönemde önemi daha iyi anlaşılmaya başlayan pazarlama, felsefi ve teorik açıdan gelişimini sürdürmektedir. Bilim olup olmadığıtartışmalarıyla başlayan pazarlamanın felsefi ve teorik gelişimi, içinde bulunduğu dönemin rekabet şartlarından ve diğer koşullarındanetkilenerek günümüze kadar devam etmiştir. Bu çalışmada, pazarlama felsefelerinin tarihsel gelişimi yazarların görüşleri doğrultusundaincelenmiştir. Yapılan incelemelere dayanılarak; yazarların dönemsel olarak pazarlama felsefelerine ilişkin olarak farklı görüşler sunupsunmadıkları, pazarlamanın felsefi ve teorik açıdan ne derece gelişme kaydettiği ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın sonuçlarınagöre, pazarlama literatüründe pazarlamanın felsefi ve teorik gelişimi açısından benzer görüşlerin yanında, çok farklı görüşlerin de ilerisürüldüğü belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca pazarlama felsefelerinin tarihsel açıdan, genel olarak müşteri odaklılık öncesi dönem ve müşteriodaklılık dönemi olmak üzere iki farklı döneme ayrıldığı söylenebilir.

    Borsa İstanbul’da İşlem Gören Turizm Firmalarının Finansal Performanslarının Değerlendirmesi: AHS ve VIKOR Yöntemleri

    Bu çalışmanın amacı Borsa İstanbul’da işlem gören turizm işletmelerinin performanslarını değerlendirmektir. Çalışmada AHS (AnalitikHiyerarşi Süreci) ve VIKOR yöntemleri kullanarak turizm işletmelerinin 2015 yılı için performans değerlemesi yapılmıştır. Bu yöntemlerkullanılarak firmalar finansal performanslarına göre sıralanmıştır. Çalışmada AHS yöntemine göre en önemli ana kriter olarak SatılanMalın Maliyeti/Net Satışlar oranı olurken en düşük ağırlığa sahip kriter ise Özsermaye Karlılığı olmuştur. Ayrıca VİKOR yöntemine göreen iyi performansa sahip turizm şirketi olarak Metemtur Otelcilik ve Turizm İşletmeleri Anonim Şirketi tespit edilmiştir. İkinci en iyi şirketolarak Merit Turizm ve Yatırım İşletmeleri Anonim Şirketi olurken en son sırada ise Kuştur Kuşadası Turistik Tesisler Anonim Şirketiyer almıştır.

    The Impact Of The June War İn 1967 Upon Nizar Qubbani's Poetry

    The Syrian poet, Nizar Qubbani, is regarded one of the most magnificent Arab poets of modern age. He became famous for his poems to have written about women. Although his fame is based on his poems about Women, we see that he is not far from the problems of his country. He also listened to the voice of his people with his poems, which he wrote by focusing on the problems of his turbulent period. He also showed his creativity by focusing on these issues. He has masterfully processed the tragedies that are not in-terrupted, the problems brought about by the modern times and the effects that these problems have on him, and showed the people how to overcome these tragedies, how to overcome these tragedies strictly, without neglec-ting the task, and avoiding unnecessary and insignificant works and discus-sions, presented and guided his people with his works. After the defeat of the Arabs in Israel in the war of June 1967, the acquisition of Sinai, Golan and the West Bank and the lands taken from the Arabs had a great impact on Nizar Kabbanî's poetry. Because these events left a painful feeling in the poet and this defeat made it one of the most important issues that the poet dealt with. The poet reflected the tension he lived in and the sense of defeat caused by the war in his poetry. The aim of this study is to introduce the poet in a short summary and to present the most important topics discussed in his poems related to the June 1967 War. These topics include: the results of the June War, the causes of the defeats of the Arabs, and ways to over-come them, and then examine the technical structure of the poem and emphasize the artistic tools the poet built. So: Poetry-Quran is to emphasize the emergence of nesting, symbolization, repetition, and then the emergen-ce of new word capacity in the poetic dictionary

    Socioeconomic Determinants of First Birth Decisions: Tied Hazard Models

    In this study, it is aimed to determine the socioeconomic factors that affect the first birth decision of women using the tied hazard models. In this context, the effect of woman’s age, education level, disability status, household size and income on the first birth decision are determined applying semi-parametric Efron, Breslow and Exact approximations of tied hazard models on the Turkstat 2015 Household Budget Survey data because of the frequency of tied observations in the data set. In the analyzes, Efron approximation produced more consistent results. In addition, it is concluded that the most important factors in the first birth decision are disability status of the woman, age and her educational level.

    Among all technological breakthroughs that the history has seen, the digital revolution is the one that has led to the largest social and cultural alternation and maintained a constantly accelerating self-renewal. Political power as a component of sovereignty also fails to ignore this holistic shift in human life and paradigm. It is expected and already observed that the contribution made by the digital revolution to political communication and political participation is soon to have an impact on the persons and institutions practicing the constitutional functions as well. At the same time, citizens, as they observe the new technological opportunities that may affect collective decision-making processes, assume that they can become more active participants and often believe that they can dominate public decisions. This paper aims to examine the structural and functional transformation of the legislative and executive bodies along with the developments in information technologies. At the same time, it will be explained how information technologies support citizens’ participation in processes of enjoying and controlling the political power. Besides applied examples from comparative law, references will also be made to the reviewed literature in Turkish and in English throughout the study.

    Qur’an’s concept of messenger

    According to Islam, people come across with religion/revelation through messengers. The divine will declares that sending messengers bestows his favour upon human beings. However, this favour could not be put to good use. This situation can include human, anthropological, psychological and political reasons. Last divine revelation has not only advantages but also bears heavy responsibilities. It is known that, without a correct understanding of the revelation, only being the object of it does not contribute much to a human being/society. There is a need of a sound methodology for a correct understanding. Thus, every school approaches the nass with a certain method and develops a concept of messengers. The human identity of messenger is the main topic which Qur’an points. It seems that the opposition to the human nature of prophet is not limited with the revelation period. It is seen that at the time of the messengers there were over interpretations on their human nature. The first thing which has to be done is to reach directly and simply the concept of messenger through the revelation. After that one can consult to other religious sources of our culture/traditon.
