- MakaleYalnız künye2026Scopus SJRQ1Building Resilience in Global Tourism: A Theoretical and Empirical Analysis of Indicators for Sustainable Development
Erol, Ismail; Dogru, Tarik; Oztel, Ahmet; Bilgihan, Anil; Peker, Iskender; Neuhofer, Irem Onder
The primary perspective of this study is the global tourism industry (GTI) as an interconnected supply chain network, encompassing both tourism firms (e.g., hotels, airlines, and operators) and destinations (e.g., local communities and ecosystems). This industry-level focus allows for analyzing resilience indicators that bridge firm-specific capabilities with destination-wide vulnerabilities, rather than isolating one over the other. Using a mixed-method approach, this research conceptualizes resilience through various management theories. First, it identifies critical resilience indicators across institutional, societal, economic, and ecological dimensions. Second, these indicators are analyzed with a novel Spherical Fuzzy Interpretive Structural Modeling and Cross-Impact Matrix Multiplication Applied to Classification framework, utilizing expert opinions to uncover complex interdependencies among indicators. The findings of this study highlight that effective government policies, robust incentive mechanisms, advanced digital infrastructure, dynamic capabilities, and ecologically sustainable tourism practices are key drivers of resilience. However, socioeconomic impacts, tourist satisfaction, and price competitiveness emerge as highly dependent outcomes influenced by these drivers. This study also introduces the Adaptive Global-Local Interaction Theory, a new framework that integrates global influences with local realities to enhance tourism resilience. By offering a comprehensive framework and practical guidelines, this research equips policymakers and stakeholders with actionable strategies to bolster the industry's capacity to anticipate, adapt to, and recover from crises, promoting sustainable development amidst volatile global conditions.

- MakaleYalnız künye2026Scopus SJRQ2Comparison of automated subcortical segmentation methods: VolBrain vs. 3D Slicer in brain volumetry
Acer, Niyazi; Palanci, Ozgur; Ipekten, Funda; Erdogan, Furkan Mert; Yarar, Burhan; Ozyasar, Ali Faruk
Objective:Accurate volume measurements of subcortical brain structures are essential in neuroimaging studies. This study aimed to compare two automated segmentation algorithms, 3D Slicer and VolBrain, for subcortical brain volumetry. Method:Subcortical volume measurements obtained using 3D Slicer and VolBrain were compared using the Neurofeedback Skull-stripped (NFBS) dataset. Statistical analyses included the coefficient of determination (R2) and Bland-Altman (B-A) plots. Volumetric measurements from both tools were evaluated across multiple subcortical brain regions. Results:Strong agreement was observed for the caudate nucleus, thalamus, and hippocampus, while notable discrepancies were identified in the amygdala, globus pallidus, and nucleus accumbens. Both constant and proportional systematic errors were detected in certain regions, with greater variability observed in 3D Slicer measurements. Intraclass Correlation Coefficient (ICC) analysis demonstrated weak agreement for the accumbens and amygdala, and moderate agreement for the hippocampus and thalamus, highlighting region-specific differences in performance Conclusion:Both VolBrain and 3D Slicer are effective tools for subcortical brain volumetry. VolBrain provides a fully automated workflow, whereas 3D Slicer allows greater flexibility through detailed corrections. Method selection should be guided by research objectives, regions of interest, and image quality. Further validation across diverse datasets is warranted to improve clinical applicability, particularly in regions showing lower agreement.

Highlights What are the main findings? What are the implications of the main findings?Highlights What are the main findings? What are the implications of the main findings?Abstract Postseismic deformation provides fundamental insights into earthquake-cycle processes, lithospheric rheology, and stress redistribution following large earthquakes. Although the 2020 Mw 7.0 Samos earthquake has been extensively investigated in terms of coseismic deformation and early postseismic behavior, the long-term evolution of deformation following the event remains poorly constrained. This study characterizes the long-term spatiotemporal evolution of postseismic deformation associated with the 2020 Mw 7.0 Samos earthquake using combined campaign and continuous GNSS observations. A total of 18 GNSS stations were analyzed over an approximately 4.5-year period following the earthquake. Pre-earthquake GNSS velocities were incorporated as prior constraints, while postseismic deformation was modeled using linear, logarithmic, exponential, and combined logarithmic-exponential functions. The preferred model for each station component was identified using the corrected Akaike Information Criterion (AICc), and model-selection robustness was evaluated through 1000 Monte Carlo observation-perturbation simulations. The results reveal a spatially heterogeneous postseismic deformation field with station-dependent temporal behavior. Among the nonlinear solutions passing the Monte Carlo and goodness-of-fit criteria, the seven single-process LOG and EXP solutions yielded characteristic relaxation times ranging from 182.6 to 730.5 days, with a median of 438.3 days. The two LOGEXP solutions additionally contained a logarithmic timescale of 109.6 days and exponential timescales of 292.2-438.3 days. These findings demonstrate that campaign GNSS observations, when integrated with continuous GNSS data and an objective statistical framework, can provide meaningful constraints on the long-term evolution of postseismic deformation despite sparse temporal sampling. More broadly, the results emphasize the strongly time-dependent nature of postseismic deformation and the critical role of observation timing in capturing its spatiotemporal evolution.
- MakaleYalnız künye2026Scopus SJRQ1Petrogenetic constraints and phase equilibria modelling on amphibole-bearing high-grade metamafic rocks from the Maku ophiolite (NW Iran): implications for metamorphism along the central Neo-Tethyan suture
Modjarrad, Monir; Uysal, Ibrahim; Yara, Irfan O. M. A.; Sen, Ahmet Dundar; Xin, Guangyao; Müller, Dirk
We present an integrated petrological, mineral-chemical, whole-rock geochemical, microstructural, and phase-equilibrium study of the West Maku metamafics (WMM), an ophiolite-related mafic unit in NW Iran. The WMM comprises garnet amphibolites and amphibole-bearing high-grade metamafic rocks containing almandine-rich garnet, tschermakite-ferro-tschermakite, andesine, epidote/zoisite, annite, muscovite-phengite, spinel, ilmenite, chlorite, quartz, and K-feldspar. Immobile element systematics indicate a tholeiitic, MORB-like basaltic protolith; LILE and crust-sensitive element enrichment likely reflect inherited crustal/sediment-derived components and metamorphic redistribution during subduction-accretion and/or m & eacute;lange assembly. P-T modelling defines four relative stages: M1, upper greenschist-facies metamorphism at ca. 6.4 kbar and 360 degrees C; M2, prograde heating to 8.0-8.4 kbar and 700-720 degrees C; M3, peak upper-amphibolite- to granulite-facies conditions at 9.0-9.8 kbar and up to 810 degrees C, with localized anatexis; and M4, retrogression at ca. 3.8 kbar and 520 degrees C. The clockwise path records the burial and heating of MORB-derived crust in a subduction-accretionary setting, followed by collision-related thermal relaxation/crustal thickening and subsequent uplift. Regional comparisons indicate thermally heterogeneous evolution along the central Neo-Tethyan suture across Armenia, SE T & uuml;rkiye, NE Iraq and NW Iran.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported outbreaks of Salmonella, particularly associated with low-moisture foods including peanut butter. Even though roasting is included along the processing line, the presence of these safety issues indicates the requirement of process following the packaging of the samples. Because of the lower thermal diffusivity of the peanut butter, a conventional thermal process is expected to be challenging with expected temperature non-uniformities. Therefore, radio frequency (RF) heating was considered in this study for thermal processing of peanut butter samples. For this purpose, a computational model was developed to determine the temperature change of peanut butter samples. Experimental studies for model validation were completed in a 10 kW - 27.12 MHz RF system at 3300 and 4000 V electrode potentials. Following the model validation, a comparison to the conventional thermal processing was presented, and industrial scale thermal processing studies were applied where up to 30 packaged samples were placed within the RF cavity. Process efficiency was determined with the process time decrease, temperature uniformity and decontamination effects. Science4Impact: This study demonstrated RF processing for an efficient thermal decontamination with uniform temperature distribution attained within the samples in an industrial scale process.

In the present study, the aqueous extract obtained from the roots of Euphorbia macroclada via ultrasound-assisted extraction (Ult-ER) was evaluated for its anticholinesterase (AChE and BChE), antioxidant, and antibacterial activities. While the extract exhibited weak inhibition against AChE (IC50: 507.69 +/- 17.95 mg/mL), it showed relatively greater inhibitory activity against BChE (IC50: 22.41 +/- 0.49 mg/mL). In antioxidant assays, Ult-ER exhibited measurable antioxidant responses, with DPPH and ABTS(+) radical-scavenging capacities of 18.33 +/- 0.49 and 119.59 +/- 1.86 mg TE/L, respectively. Its Fe-3(+) and Cu-2(+) reducing capacities were 128.51 +/- 12.57 and 670.33 +/- 11.59 mg TE/L, respectively. The total phenolic and flavonoid contents were 84.80 +/- 3.31 mg GAE/g and 60.67 +/- 2.29 mg QE/g, while the total antioxidant capacity was 9.78 +/- 0.44 mg TE/g and 15.62 +/- 1.85 mg BHAE/g. In the antibacterial evaluation, Ult-ER at the highest tested concentration of 8 mg/mL exhibited inhibitory activity against all tested strains, including Enterococcus faecalis ATCC 29212, Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 25923, Escherichia coli ATCC 25922, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 27853, whereas no detectable inhibition was observed at lower concentrations.
- MakaleAçık Erişim2026Scopus SJRQ2A combined Monte Carlo, analytical, and experimental study of true coincidence summing correction factors for 152Eu
Çelik, Necati; Ali, Ahmed H.; Apaydin, Gokhan; Çevik, Ugur; Açikel, Selami
The radionuclide 152Eu presents a significant challenge in gamma-ray spectrometry due to its complex decay scheme and significant true coincidence summing (TCS) effects, especially in close-measurement geometries. This study presents a comprehensive investigation into TCS correction factors for the principal gamma-ray lines of 152Eu using tripartite methodology: a custom Monte Carlo (MC) simulation based on the EGS4 system, an established analytical method, and direct experimental measurements. The MC simulation explicitly models the complete decay process, including branching ratios, gamma emissions, internal conversion, and subsequent X-ray emissions for both decay branches (beta-minus to 152Gd and EC to 152Sm). Experimentally, correction factors were derived using a well-characterized point source measured at multiple distances with a coaxial HPGe detector. The analytical, method based on probabilistic analysis of the decay scheme, served as an examination. Results demonstrate that the analytical method underestimated the TCS correction factors, particularly for low-energy lines such as 121.78 keV, where it predicted a mere 0.78 % correction compared to 25.5 and 23.5 % from MC and experiment, respectively. This discrepancy is attributed to the analytical method's neglect of gamma-X ray coincidences and the internal conversion effects. In contrast, the MC simulation showed remarkable agreement with experimental results across all energies, validating its capability to accurately model the full complexity of TCS effects. The study concludes that while analytical methods offer rapid estimates, MC simulations, especially when experimentally validated, are essential for achieving metrological accuracy in the gamma-ray spectrometric analysis of complex radionuclides like 152Eu.

- MakaleYalnız künye2026Scopus SJRQ2Tomography of the source zone of the February 6, 2023, Kahramanmaras, Earthquake Doublets of Southern Anatolia
Salah, Mohamed K.; Alkan, Hamdi; Öztürk, Serkan; Güney, Recep
On February 6, 2023, two destructive earthquakes and many posterior aftershocks hit the Kahramanmaras, area in southern Anatolia. The Kahramanmaras, earthquake sequence (KMES) caused extensive damage and economic losses in T & uuml;rkiye and Syria. In this study, the 3-D crustal seismic velocities surrounding the hypocentral region of the KMES are determined using a large dataset of body wave arrival times obtained from local earthquakes. To better constrain the physical properties and seismogenic behavior of the KMES source region, the Vp/Vs ratio is calculated and correlated with Poisson's ratio using the obtained velocity models. To gain a better understanding of the stress conditions and regional earthquake activity in the study area, the depth variation of the b-value is also examined. The velocity structure is generally heterogeneous with both low and high velocities at upper crustal depths. Along the East Anatolian Fault Zone and its environs, low-velocity anomalies are charted. Also, small b-values (<1.0) are estimated in the region encompassing the KMES, especially at upper crustal depths. The KMES source zone is characterized by low b-value, low to average Vp, low Vs, and average/high Vp/Vs ratios. Hit count rates and the resolution test show that the mapped velocity anomalies are robust down to a depth of 45 km. Therefore, the moderate/high Vp/Vs and small b-values at the upper and middle crustal depths along the EAFZ may give constraints on the next earthquake hazards of the study region. The present findings provide deeper insight into the physical properties and the seismogenic potential of the crustal zones in proximity to the active fault segments of the Anatolian Plateau and the northwestern part of Arabia.

- Derleme MakaleYalnız künye2026Scopus SJRQ1Emerging thermal and non-thermal technologies addressing Salmonella contamination in low-moisture spices and herbs
Lian, Yi; Verma, Tushar; Chen, Long; Sun, Shengqian; Ozturk, Samet; Subbiah, Jeyamkondan; Liu, Shuxiang; Wei, Xinyao
Spices and herbs are vital flavoring agents in food. However, they are particularly vulnerable to microbial contamination primarily due to their open production environments and low water activity, which enhances microbial resistance to conventional pasteurization. In addition, traditional decontamination methods often struggle to balance microbial safety and product quality. This review aims to deliver valuable insights into innovative technologies designed for improving microbial safety and overall quality of spices and herbs while fostering advancements in the industry. This review comprehensively summarizes the principles, applications, and influencing factors of emerging thermal technologies (e.g., radio frequency heating, superheated steam, and vacuum steam) and non-thermal technologies (e.g., ethylene oxide, chlorine dioxide, cold plasma, and ionizing irradiation). Furthermore, it critically discusses the current limitations of these technologies and proposes strategies for future advancements. Novel decontamination technologies show promise in improving microbial safety and preserving the quality of spice and herb products. In particular, radio frequency and chlorine dioxide technologies emerge as promising options for spice decontamination due to their better ability to balance microbial control efficiency and quality retention. Further research should focus on optimizing parameters through models, developing combination technologies, and promoting pilot test verification to facilitate industrial application.

- MakaleAçık Erişim2026Scopus SJRQ1Influencer Authenticity in Marketing: A Systematic Literature Review and Future Research Agenda
Celik, Fatih; Ibrahim, Blend; Polat, Eray; Moulard, Julie; Akbulut, Metin
As influencer marketing scales into a mainstream advertising channel, authenticity has become its defining currency, yet consumers and brands struggle to understand what makes a social media influencer (SMI) genuinely credible and why strategic authenticity backfires. Despite growing scholarly interest, research remains fragmented, leaving practitioners without a unified framework to guide their decisions. Through a systematic literature review (SLR) of 138 peer-reviewed articles (2011-2024), using topic modeling and thematic analysis, we identify the authenticity paradox, the inherent conflict that arises when SMIs attempt to commercialize their genuine self-presentation. This tension also explains why recent evidence reports no overall engagement benefit from perceived authenticity. Seven latent topics are synthesized into four integrated axes: (1) ontological tensions at the technological interface, (2) the commercial transparency and trust paradox, (3) ethical negotiation in identity construction, and (4) strategic consumer responses. Our findings reveal how consumers continuously navigate between SMIs' curated performances and perceived genuineness, with self-determination theory, attribution theory, and parasocial interaction theory dominating current explanations, predominantly within USA-based contexts. Beyond mapping the field, we specify three conceptual patterns, namely authenticity as attributed intent, transparency as coherence rather than concealment, and authenticity as a structurally constrained accomplishment. We then translate the gaps they expose into a structured research agenda, offering actionable insights for brands, managers, and platform designers on authenticity management, influencer selection, partnership governance, and performance evaluation.

Sarisik, Derya Cetin; Aydin, Ahmet Serhat; Söyler, Mehmet; Zileli, Raif; Özkurt, Ali; Yilmaz, Coskun; Küçük, Hamza; Karatas, Mevlut
Background: Aerobic capacity and respiratory efficiency are critical determinants of performance in elite female football, characterized by repeated high-intensity efforts and rapid recovery demands. Halotherapy, involving the inhalation of dry salt aerosol, has been shown to improve pulmonary health; however, its effects on exercise-related outcomes in athletic populations remain insufficiently investigated. This study aimed to examine the effects of a 12-week post-training halotherapy intervention on respiratory muscle strength, pulmonary function, and aerobic performance in elite female football players. Methods: Twenty-eight elite female football players competing in the Turkish Women's First League were randomly assigned to a halotherapy group (HG, n = 14) or a control group (CG, n = 14). Both groups completed an identical preseason training program, while the HG additionally performed 45 min halotherapy sessions three times per week in a controlled halochamber. Pre-and post-intervention assessments included maximal inspiratory and expiratory pressures (MIP, MEP), spirometric parameters (FVC, FEV1, PEF, MVV), and maximal oxygen uptake (VO(2)max) estimated using the Yo-Yo Intermittent Recovery Test Level 1 (Yo-Yo IRT1), along with total distance covered. A 2 & times; 2 mixed-model ANOVA was used to assess time and group & times; time interaction effects. Results: Significant group & times; time interactions were observed for MIP, MEP, VO(2)max, FEV1, PEF, MVV, and Yo-Yo IRT1 performance (p < 0.05), with large effect sizes (eta p(2) = 0.269-0.924), favoring the halotherapy group. Forced vital capacity (FVC) increased over time in both groups (p = 0.141), with no significant interaction effect. Changes in the control group were comparatively smaller across most outcomes. Conclusion: Post-training halotherapy was associated with improvements in respiratory muscle strength, ventilatory function, aerobic capacity, and intermittent running performance in elite female football players. These findings suggest that halotherapy may be considered as a complementary, non-invasive strategy to support respiratory and aerobic adaptations. Further research is required to confirm these findings and to clarify the underlying physiological mechanisms. Trial registration: NCT07406386; 6 February 2026.
- MakaleAçık Erişim2026Scopus SJRQ1Effects of psychological skills training on self-control, perceived physical self-defense capacity, and mental toughness in elite female wrestlers: a randomized controlled trial
Tutal, Varol; Demir, Okan; Sahin, Oktay; Albayrak, Ahmet Yilmaz; Bayansalduz, Mehmet; Uzun, Recep Nur; Öz, Faik; Sahinler, Yunus; Ceylan, Levent; Yilmaz, Coskun
Background Self-control, self-defense self-efficacy, and mental resilience are fundamental psychological determinants of performance and competitive endurance in combat sports. However, scientific evidence on structured, evidence-based psychological intervention programs for professional female wrestlers remains limited. This study examined the effects of a psychological skills training (PST)-based intervention on self-control, self-defense self-efficacy, and mental resilience in professional female wrestlers. Methods A randomized controlled pre-test-post-test design was employed. Thirty-six professional female wrestlers (aged 18-25) were randomly assigned to a PST group (n = 18) or a control group (CG; n = 18). The PST group completed an 8-week structured psychological intervention alongside regular training, while the CG continued routine training only. Self-control, self-defense self-efficacy, and mental resilience were assessed pre-and post-intervention using valid and reliable psychometric scales. Data were analyzed via repeated-measures ANOVA, with effect sizes calculated. Results Significant group & times; time interactions were observed across multiple outcomes. A highly significant interaction emerged for perceived physical self-defense capacity (SP; F(1,34) = 56.525, p < 0.001, eta p(2) = 0.624) and for DP scores (F (1,34) = 9.360, p = 0.004, eta p(2) = 0.216). Among self-control subscales, significant interactions were found for inhibition (F (1,34) = 8.172, p = 0.007, eta p(2) = 0.194) and, more strongly, for initiation (F (1,34) = 14.157, p < 0.001, eta p(2) = 0.294). For mental resilience, highly significant interactions were detected for confidence (F (1,34) = 59.976, p < 0.001, eta p(2) = 0.638), control (F (1,34) = 32.486, p < 0.001, eta p(2) = 0.489), and persistence (F (1,34) = 32.709, p < 0.001, eta p(2) = 0.490). Overall, the intervention demonstrated medium-to-high effect sizes across psychological performance indicators. Conclusion These findings suggest that PST may serve as a useful complementary approach for enhancing self-control, perceived physical self-defense capacity, and mental toughness in professional female wrestlers. However, results should not be interpreted as evidence of improved competitive wrestling performance, technical success, or objectively measured physical self-defense ability, as these outcomes were not directly assessed in this study.

This study was undertaken to examine, for the first time, the antioxidant and enzyme inhibitory properties of several extracts obtained from the aerial parts of Teucrium scordium subsp. scordioides (Schreb.) Arcang (family: Lamiaceae). Among the extracts, the EtOH extract contained the highest total phenolic (89.96 mg GAE/g) and flavonoid (45.74 mg RE/g) contents. Phenylethanoid glycosides were predominant, particularly in the ethanol and aqueous extracts, and teucroside/forsythoside B and verbascoside/forsythoside A were tentatively identified as the major compounds. EtOH and 70% EtOH extracts showed comparable (p > 0.05) anti-DPPH activity (201.89 and 188.52 mg TE/g), Cu++ (562.81 and 547.88 mg TE/g), and Fe+++ (329.13 and 320.08 mg TE/g) reducing capacities. The EtOH extract showed the best antityrosinase activity (72.00 mg KAE/g). The EtOAc extract inhibited human carbonic anhydrase (CA) isoenzymes I and CAII (IC50 = 26.86 and 65.37 mu g/mL, respectively). Complementary in silico analyses of the major phenylethanoid and flavonoid glycosides supported their possible multitarget interaction patterns and identified the Forsythoside A-BChE complex as a computationally favorable model for future experimental validation. Overall, these findings indicate that T. scordium subsp. scordioides may represent a natural source of antioxidants and enzyme inhibitors for use in different health-promoting formulations.

Understanding melt source evolution during arc-back-arc magmatism is essential for resolving crustal growth processes and the development of felsic-hosted volcanogenic massive sulfide (VMS) systems. Here we integrate new zircon HfO isotope data with published geochronological and whole-rock geochemical datasets to reassess the petrogenesis of Late Cretaceous arc and back-arc magmatic flare-ups in the eastern Sakarya Zone (ESZ), NE T & uuml;rkiye. Two high-flux magmatic episodes are recognized: a Turonian-Santonian pulse (similar to 92-86 Ma) forming the lower volcanic sequence (LVS), and a younger Campanian pulse (similar to 84-75 Ma) forming the upper volcanic sequence (UVS), accompanied by contemporaneous arc-related granitoids. Zircons from both LVS and UVS display predominantly positive epsilon Hf(t) values (+2 to +12) coupled with mantle-like delta O-18 (5.0-5.6 parts per thousand), but contain abundant inherited Mesoproterozoic-Paleozoic cores and show variable two-stage model ages (T-DM (c) = 0.4-1.4 Ga). Together with the peraluminous affinity of many felsic units, these features indicate that the dacite-rhyolite suites hosting VMS deposits were generated by melting of compositionally heterogeneous lower crust variably hybridized by juvenile basaltic inputs. Arc granitoids likewise record a transition from dominantly juvenile, I-type magmatism during the Coniacian-Santonian to more evolved, crust-influenced signatures during the Campanian. We propose that both flare-ups reflect repeated episodes of basaltic underplating and deep-crustal heating, producing voluminous felsic magmas capable of sustaining long-lived hydrothermal systems. The spatial and temporal coincidence between felsic-dominated flare-ups and VMS mineralization suggests that hybridized felsic magmas, rather than purely juvenile mantle melts, played a central role in generating the physiochemical conditions required for metal-bearing hydrothermal fluids in the ESZ.

Wrestling requires coordinated lower-limb strength for explosive techniques. While isokinetic testing isolates joint-specific strength and countermovement jumps assess functional power, comprehensive multi-joint assessments with advanced factor analysis remain unexplored in elite wrestlers. Twenty-one national-level male freestyle wrestlers (22.3 +/- 2.8 years; 76.2 +/- 14.7 kg) completed cross-sectional neuromuscular assessments. Isokinetic concentric strength testing at 60 degrees/s evaluated hip, knee, and ankle joint functions bilaterally using an Isomed 2000 dynamometer. Vertical jump power was assessed through countermovement jumps under bilateral and unilateral conditions using the Optojump system. All strength and power variables were normalized to fat-free mass determined via air displacement plethysmography. Statistical analyses included Pearson correlations with Benjamini-Hochberg correction, stepwise multiple regression, and principal component analysis. Bilateral jump performance correlated strongly with knee extension (R = 0.798, P <.001) and hip extension strength (R = 0.664, P =.001), with combined predictors explaining 68.8% of variance (F-2,F-18 = 19.8, P <.001). Principal component analysis identified a primary extensor factor (hip and knee extension, 52.6% variance) and an auxiliary factor (ankle plantar flexion and hip adduction, 19.0% variance). Unilateral jump models demonstrated lower explanatory power (dominant: 39.8%, non-dominant: 25.7%). Multi-joint isokinetic strength assessment, particularly hip and knee extension capacity, provides a robust prediction of vertical jump performance in elite wrestlers. The identified primary extensor strength factor represents a fundamental neuromuscular capacity underlying explosive lower-limb function, supporting targeted strength development strategies for wrestling-specific performance enhancement.

The development of effective acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) inhibitors remains a crucial objective in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer's disease (AD). In this study, a novel synthetic approach was established to prepare a series of diaryl-substituted tacrine derivatives. Initially, brominated aminobenzonitrile was subjected to Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions with various aryl boronic acids to yielding diaryl-substituted aminobenzonitriles at yields of 60%-72%. These intermediates were then cyclized with cyclohexanone and cycloheptanone under Friedl & auml;nder conditions using BF3 & centerdot;OEt2 as a catalyst, affording six- and seven-membered diaryl tacrine analogues in yields of 52%-68%. All synthesized compounds were characterized by NMR, IR, and elemental analysis. The inhibitory activities of these compounds (7-16) against AChE and BChE were evaluated, and several analogs demonstrated potent dual-enzyme inhibition at nanomolar concentrations. Notably, compounds 8 and 13 exhibited half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) values of 6.848 and 8.545 nmol/L for BChE, respectively, indicating strong potential as selective cholinesterase inhibitors. The structure-activity relationship (SAR) analysis revealed the influence of aryl substituents on the potency and selectivity of enzyme inhibition. Compared to previously reported tacrine derivatives, the newly synthesized analogs exhibited superior inhibitory profiles, indicating their potential as lead compounds for further development in AD therapeutics. The phytochemical profile and multi-target bioactivity of four Turkish Rosa species, R. canina, R. hemisphaerica, R. horrida, and R. pulverulenta, were evaluated across vegetative organs (twigs and leaves) and three solvent polarities (ethyl acetate (EA), methanol (MeOH), water), in total 24 extracts. Untargeted Ultra-High-Performance Liquid Chromatography-Quadrupole Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (UHPLC-QTOF-MS) metabolomics, along with total phenolic (TPC) and flavonoid (TFC) content, six antioxidant assays and inhibition of seven enzymes were determined. Twig EA extracts displayed unexpectedly high TPC (83-105 mg gallic acid equivalent (GAE) per g) and TFC (35-47 mg rutin equivalent (RE) per g), indicative of selective aglycone flavonoid enrichment. The phenolic profiles identified 337 putative compounds, of which 60.84% belonged to the flavonoid class. The semi-quantitative analysis also indicates that methanol and water extracts had higher quantities of glycosylated flavonoids and phenolic acids, while EA extracts were richer in lignans, especially R. horrida-leaf-EA (1743.25 & micro;g SE per g DW), and polyphenols. In enzyme inhibition assays, EA extracts demonstrated consistent multi-target activity: AChE inhibition (up to 2.49 mg galantamine equivalent (GALAE) per g), BChE inhibition (up to 4.44 mg GALAE per g), tyrosinase inhibition (up to 63.58 mg kojic acid equivalent (KAE) per g), alpha-amylase inhibition (up to 0.72 mmol acarbose equivalent ACAE per g), and carbonic anhydrase inhibition (CA I IC50 as low as 12.17 & micro;g mL-1). The R. hemisphaerica-twig-EA extract showed highly selective cytotoxic activity against A375 cells, with a 50% cytotoxic concentration (CC50) of 3.22 & micro;g mL-1 and an SI of 73.95, compared to VERO cells. This is the first report of carbonic anhydrase inhibition, BChE-selective activity, cytotoxicity, and comprehensive enzyme-inhibitory data for R. hemisphaerica, R. horrida, and R. pulverulenta. These findings reframe the phytopharmacological potential of Turkish Rosa species beyond their traditionally studied fruit.

This study aimed to examine match running performance (RP) in professional soccer teams in terms of success variables. A total of 626 observations obtained via a multicamera tracking system (InStat Ltd.) from a total of 323 matches played by 19 teams in the Turkish Super League (TSL) during a season were analyzed. The success of the teams was examined as two different independent variables: i) according to the endof-season final table ranking (1st rank: the first five teams that have qualified for the European League; 2nd rank: the second rank five teams; 3rd rank: the third rank five teams; and 4th rank: the four relegated teams). ii) According to the match outcome (win, draw, loss). The RP variables included total distance (TD), covered distance in five speed zones (walking, jogging, running, high-speed running (HSR) and sprinting), high-intensity acceleration (HIA) and maximum acceleration. ANOVA and post hoc tests revealed that 1strank teams were significantly more common in running, HSR, sprinting and acceleration (p < .05). There was no difference between the TD groups (p > .05). The TD, walking sprinting and max. acceleration values of the winning teams were greater (p < .05). The short-term success goal for teams is to win a match or score a point, and the long-term goal is to be at the top of the final table in the season. Therefore, the current research revealed that high-intensity RPs and high intensity acceleration in matches are especially decisive in the success of teams.

Akyol, Mehmet; Zuhal, Mustafa; Mete, Emrullah; Lorente, Daniel Balsalobre; Barut, Abdulkadir
The agricultural sector plays a vital role in ensuring food security and supporting sustainable economic growth. However, climate change and global warming pose significant challenges to the long-term viability of agricultural production, underscoring the need for sustainable agricultural practices. Adopting clean technologies and environmentally responsible policies is essential for balancing economic and agricultural sustainability while minimizing ecological harm. Supportive and protective agricultural inputs are widely used to enhance productivity, yet excessive, unregulated use can lead to environmental degradation. This deterioration negatively impacts ecosystems, reducing biodiversity and straining natural resources. The Load Capacity Factor (LCF) serves as a critical metric for assessing the environmental footprint of agricultural activities. This paper investigates the effects of agricultural value-added, pesticide use, and fertilizer application on LCF in BRICS-T countries. The findings indicate that these variables exhibit long-term cointegration, with varying short- and long-term impacts. To ensure the sustainability of agricultural production while safeguarding ecosystems, it is essential to integrate clean technologies, precision farming, and regenerative agricultural practices into policy frameworks. Sustainable agricultural systems and environmentally conscious policies are fundamental to securing resilient food production and long-term economic stability.

Objective This research aimed to adapt Positive Attitudes Toward and Perceived Importance of Wearable Display Technology (PATPIWDT) as an Effective Learning Tool Among Nursing Students into Turkish and to examine the validity and reliability of its translation. Methods This methodological study included 698 nursing students recruited via convenience sampling. Construct validity was evaluated using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with the Maximum Likelihood (ML) estimation method. Internal consistency was assessed using Cronbach's Alpha and McDonald's Omega coefficients. Results The model demonstrated excellent fit according to the confirmatory factor analysis results. The CFA results for the Positive Attitudes subscale indicated a good model fit (CMIN/DF = 4.79, GFI = 0.93, CFI = 0.97, RMSEA = 0.07, SRMR = 0.03). For the Perceived Importance subscale, the single-factor structure showed acceptable fit indices (CMIN/DF = 5.82, GFI = 0.98, SRMR = 0.03). As a result of examining the standardized loadings of the items, it was seen that the item factor loadings were 0.40 and above, indicating sufficient factor loading. Cronbach's alpha coefficients were 0.91 for the positive attitudes subscale and 0.84 for the perceived importance subscale. The respondents also demonstrated an above-average overall score, with a mean of 3.40 (SD = 0.69).Conclusion The Turkish version of the scale provides a dependable measure of nursing students' positive attitudes toward wearable screens and how important they consider this technology for future educational use.
