Özet

It is known that Kant, who made important breakthroughs with the works he wrote in the history of philosophy, has put forward important ideas about the establishment of lasting peace. It is understood that he has adopted a critical, analytical and synthesis understanding in his ideas in the context of achieving lasting peace. At the same time, it is noteworthy that his basic philosophy characteristic is largely reflected in his thoughts on peace. However, his theory of peace contains some originalities in comparison to the conceptions of peace that emerged before him. The aim of establishing continuous peace, trying to build positive peace instead of negative peace, refering to the argument of law instead of religion in the foundation of peace, and moving from national / continental peace to universal peace are the originality of his theory. On the other hand, Kant's ideas in the context of the theory of peace seem to be popular in later periods. The most important example of this is the international peace organizations that were tried to be established in the 20th century. The subsequent importance of his theory of peace is closely related to the originality of his ideas.
