Özet

There have been numerous academic studies about the Committee of Union and Progress/'s Party (CUP) that holds an important place in Turkish Political History. Many of these studies have deeply focused on issues, namely the foundation of the CUP, the life of its founders, the role of party during the 2nd Consitutional Monarchy, its executive team. In addition, the studies regarded to the CUP's organizational structure and features are also available. However, there has not been excessively worked on the role and importance of subsidiary organs or clubs which helped the party's contact with community. Because of this reason, this study is of originality. In this study, firstly, it will be knowledged about the foundtion of the CUP, its objectived and structure of its organization. Afterwards, the CUP's 1909, 1911, 1913 regulations are addressed by examining how CUP's subsidiary organs were regulated. Comparative study on the regulation, memories and other resources in the light of the structure, activities, objectives and political influence of the CUP's subsidiary is aimed to uncover. In the study, it will also try to show the similarity between the CUP's subsidiary organs and Republican People Party's subsidiary organs, since 1932, named Halkevleri founded in the single party era.
