Statistical Evaluation of Rational Drug Use of University Students

Medicines are of primary importance in the\rtreatment of diseases. In order to protect and improve\rpublic health, people's health needs to be kept under\rcontrol. Learning the level of knowledge of our youth,\rwho are our future, in this regard will be a guide in\rdirecting them. This study was carried out to measure\rthe attitudes of students studying at Gümüşhane\rUniversity Şiran Health Services Vocational School\rtowards drug use. It is a descriptive exercise and\rconstitutes 284 students of the universe. Weighted\raverage were used in the analysis of the data. As a result\rof the research, it was determined that although the\rsample seems more conscious according to the results\robtained in similar studies conducted before, there is\rnot yet a complete knowledge about drug use. In\raddition, it was determined that there was a relationship\rbetween the participants 'reading the drug package\rinsert and their parents' educational status, place of life,\rplace of stay at the university and the presence of a\rhealthcare professional in their families.\rKeywords: Rational drug use, Drug, University\rstudents.
