Özet

The purpose of this study is to analyze the mediating role of presenteeism in the impact of coronavirus\ranxiety levels of workers in the labor market during the COVID-19 outbreak on their productivity at\rwork. The target population of the study, which is a cross-sectional and descriptive type, consists of\remployees over the age of 18 who agree to participate in the study and are active in different sectors. The\rsample of the research consists of 463 employees. The data of the research were collected by the online\rsurvey method (via Google Form). The following were used as data collection tools: "Personal Information Form" developed by researchers and "Coronavirus Anxiety Scale (CAS)"developed by Lee\r(2020) and adapted into Turkish by Bicer et al. (2020), "Endicott Work Productivity Scale" developed\rby Endicott and Nee (1997) and adapted to Turkish by Uguz et al. (2004) "Standford Presenteeism\r(non- existence at work) Scale" developed by Koopman et al. (2002) and adapted to Turkish by Anık\rBaysal (2012). The findings obtained reveal that there are negatively significant relationships between\rcoronavirus anxiety and productivity at work. It has been determined that presenteeism (non- existence\rat work) has a statistically significant partial mediating role in the negative effect of coronavirus anxiety\ron productivity at work in the analysis of the structural equality model for the mediating effect. Finally,\rthe results of the research were discussed in the light of the literature. Suggestions have been made to\rresearchers working on the impact of the coronavirus epidemic on working life and to practice.
