Afetlerde atık yönetimi ve hastane personelinin hastane atık yönetimi konusunda algı düzeyi : Gümüşhane ili örneği

Afet yönetiminin esas amaçları toplumun karşı karşıya olduğu tehlikeleri analiz etmek, ortaya çıkabilecek durumdan minimum zarar görebilecek durumları tahmin etmek, ikincil afetlere mahal vermeyecek stratejiler geliştirmek ve uygulamak gibi çalışmalar yapmaktır. Bu sebeple hastanelerin olası bir afet durumunda atık yönetim stratejisi olması gerekir. Atık yönetimi, çalışanların atık konusunda tutum, farkındalık ve algıları ile verimli olabilir. Araştırmanın verileri Yousef Elgitait tarafından 2013 yılında yapılan "Staff Perceptions and Practice for Hospital Waste Management With Reference to Recycling in the UK versus Libya, a Comparative Study" adlı doktora tezinde kullanılan anket formu ülke koşullarına uygun olarak düzenlenmiştir. Anket üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde kişilerin demografik özelliklerini belirlemek amacıyla sorulan sorular bulunmaktadır. İkinci bölümde iki alt bölümden oluşan Atık Yönetimi Farkındalık soruları (10 soru), Afetlerde Atık Yönetimi Farkındalık soruları (11 soru) kullanılmıştır. Üçüncü bölümde ise Atık Yönetimi Tutum soruları (12 soru) bulunmaktadır. Katılımcıların farkındalık düzeyi puan ortalaması 74,24±16,606 olarak bulunmuştur. Tablo 4.5'teki skalaya göre, 74,24'lük puan ortalaması yüksek düzey olarak belirlenmiştir. Katılımcıların tutum düzeyi puan ortalamaları 3,88±0,629 olarak bulunmuştur. Tablo 4.12'deki skalaya göre bu puan ortalaması kararsızım kategorisine girmektedir. Atık yönetimi ve afet atığı konularında daha fazla çalışma yapılması önerilir. Ayrıca tüm kurumların, özellikle de afetlerde etkin olarak rol alanların, bu konudaki hazırlık ve farkındalık düzeylerinin incelenmesi ve bu yapılan araştırmalar neticesinde iyileştirmeler yapılması önerilmektedir. The main objectives of the disaster management are to analyze the dangers facing the society and to develop and implement strategies that can cause minimal damage to the situation that may arise or not. Hence, hospitals should have a waste management strategy in case of a possible disaster. Waste management can be efficient with the attitude, awareness and perception of the employees about waste. The data of the study was prepared by Yousef Elgitait in 2013 in the form of a questionnaire which was used in 2013 for his doctoral thesis titled "Staff Perceptions and Practice for Hospital Waste Management With Reference to Recycling in the UK versus Libya, a Comparative Study". The questionnaire consists of 3 parts. In the first part, there are questions asked to determine the demographic characteristics of individuals. In the second part, Waste Management Awareness questions (10 questions), Waste Management Awareness in Disasters questions (11 questions) were used. In the third section, there are questions of Waste Management Attitude (12 questions). The average score of the participants was 74.24 ± 16,606. According to the scale in Table 4.5, the average score of 74.24 was determined as the high level. The average attitude level of the participants was found as 3.88 ± 0.629. According to the scale in Table 4.12, this average score is in the undecided category. A further study on waste management and disaster waste is recommended. In addition, it is also recommended that all institutions, especially those involved in disasters, examine the level of preparedness and awareness in this respect and make improvements as a result of this research.
