Prophets in the Divân of the Nailî

Divân literature is the biggest value that the Turks have been presenting to the world of literature since its existence in the history scene. Undoubtedly, religious elements are the main sources of this literature which has been continuing its existence for centuries. Although the currents followed and / or influenced by it have changed, there is no significant deviation in these sources. Especially in the XVIIth century Sebk-i Hindî, which influenced Divân literatüre, it is seen that the prophets are greatly utilized by subtle references. Şair Nailî is the biggest representative of the Sebk-i Hindî movement in Divân literature. In this study, it is tried to determine how much and how the poet benefited from prophets and their miracles and life stories and how these elements are effective in the personality of the poet by examining the religious figures in the divân of the Nailî.
