A new species, Dicranolasma gumushanensissp. n., is described from the Gümüşhane Province of the northeastern region of Turkey, based on morphological and genetic evidence. The newly described species differs from similar species within the genus, particularly due to morphological characteristics such as the structure of the chelicerae and genitalia, and its molecular characteristics. A detailed description and diagnostic characteristics of the new species are provided, in addition to images of its body in dorsal view, chelicerae, pedipalps and genitalia. Dicranolasma ridvansahini sp. nov. (Opiliones: Dicranolasmatidae) is described from Nif mountain, İzmir, Türkiye on the basis of morphological and molecular characteristics. Detailed descriptions and diagnostic features of the new species, as well as illustration of relevant details are given. The new species was compared with some related species in the genus for morphological differences. Additionally, the 28S rRNA gene region was sequenced, and Bayesian Inference (BI) phylogenetic trees were constructed to clarify the species’ evolutionary relationships.

Phalangium nalanae Kurt, Erdek & Kurt 2023 ve Phalangium taylani Kurt, Erdek & Kurt 2023 türleri morfolojik verilere dayanarak daha önceden, Türkiye (Hakkâri)’den tanımlanmış ve türlere ait moleküler veriler sunulmamıştır. Bu çalışmada; Phalangium cinsine ait bu türlerin 28S rRNA gen bölgesi dizilenmiş, maksimum olabilirlik (ML) analizi ve Bayesian çıkarım (BI) analizi yapılarak bu türlerin filogenetik ilişkileri ortaya konulmuştur.

A new harvestman species, Buresilia gumushanensis sp. nov. (Opiliones: Phalangiidae), is described based on male specimens collected from Gümüşhane province, Turkey. Detailed descriptions, diagnostic features and pictures of the new species are provided, together with mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) sequences. The phylogenetic tree constructed using the COI gene region revealed the phylogenetic position of the genus Buresilia within the family Phalangiidae. In addition, the new species is compared with known species of the genus Buresilia.

Lacinius insularis Roewer, 1923, is recorded for the first time as part of the Turkish harvestmen fauna. Prior to this, the species was only known from the island of Crete in Greece. The new collections were made on Nif mountain in İzmir Province (far western Turkey). In this study, L. insularis is redescribed based on adults from Turkey. Its detailed description, morphological characteristics, distribution and measurements are given. Also, genitalia, body dorsal view, chelicerae, and pedipalp are illustrated. In addition, this species is compared with similar species.

A new harvestman species, Rafalskia azizsancari sp. n., is described and illustrated based on male specimens collected from Bozdaglar Mountains, Izmir Province, Turkey. Most important differences between the new species and the three other species of the genus are included.

A new harvestman species, Microliobunum erseni sp. nov., is described and illustrated with photographs of both sexes from Kilis Province, Turkey. It is the second species in this genus, which is otherwise known only from Lebanon.

A new harvestman species of the genus Mediostoma Kratochvil, 1958, Mediostoma izmirica sp. nov., is described and illustrated based on males and females from İzmir Province, Turkey. Differences between the new species and other species of the genus Mediostoma are indicated. Scanning electron microscope photographs of its characteristic structures are also given.

In this study, the samples collected from the land studies, between June 2013 and September 2014 in Maçka (Trabzon) district, were evaluated systematically. As a result of these evaluations, 19 species belonging to 4 families were determined. These taxa: Dicranolasma giljarovi Silhavy, 1966; Giljarovia tenebricosa Redikorzev, 1936; Histricostoma caucasicum (Redikorzev, 1936); Mitostoma gracile (Redikorzev, 1936); Paranemastoma sp.; Vestiferum alatum Martens, 2006; Vestiferum funebre (Redikorzev, 1936); Lacinius erinaceus Starega, 1966; Mitopus morio (Fabricius, 1779); Odiellus zecariensis Mcheidze 1952; Opilio hemseni Roewer, 1952; Opilio parietinus (De Geer, 1778); Phalangium opilio Linnaeus, 1761; Rafalskia olympica olympica (Kulczynski, 1903); Rilaena ermani Kurt, 2015; Rilaena zakatalica Snegovaya, Chemeris, 2005; Rilaena triangularis (Herbst, 1799); Zachaeus crista (Brullé, 1832); Nelima pontica Charitonov, 1941 were recorded in the study area for the first time.This species was given distribution in the world and Turkey.

In this study, all samples were collected from Turkey (Gumushane and Bayburt provinces) between June 2010 and October 2012. They were evaluated systematically. As a result of these evaluations, 20 species in 14 genera belonging to 4 families were determined. One of them, Rilaena triangularis (Herbst, 1799), is recorded for the first time from Turkey. GPS data of each collecting site, and distribution in Turkey and all over the world of these species are presented in the text.

Two species of the genus Vestiferum Martens, 2006 were found in Turkey. One of them, V. funebre (Redikortsev, 1936) is found in Turkey for the first time. The other species V. alatum Martens, 2006 is recorded from a new locality in Turkey. Both species were collected from the northern part of Turkey. Their descriptions, characteristic features, distributions and digital and SEM photographs are presented.
