Featured Application: The proposed framework facilitates secure and user-friendly biometric authentication on mobile platforms, particularly in mobile payment and access control scenarios, under unconstrained conditions. The widespread adoption of mobile devices has made secure and user-friendly biometric authentication critical. However, widely used modalities such as fingerprint and facial recognition show limited robustness under uncontrolled illumination and on heterogeneous devices. In contrast, palmprint recognition offers strong potential because of its rich textural patterns and high discriminative power. This study addresses the limitations of laboratory-based datasets that fail to capture real-world challenges. We introduce MPW-180, a novel dataset comprising videos of 180 participants recorded on their own smartphones in everyday environments. By systematically incorporating diverse illumination conditions (with and without flash) and natural free-hand movements, MPW-180 is the first dataset to adopt a bring-your-own-device paradigm, providing a realistic benchmark for evaluating generalization in mobile biometric models. In addition, we propose PalmWildNet, an SE-block-enhanced deep learning architecture trained with Triplet Loss and a cross-illumination sampling strategy. The experimental results show that conventional methods suffer over 50% performance degradation under cross-illumination conditions. In contrast, our method reduces the Equal Error Rate to 1–2% while maintaining an accuracy above 97%. These findings demonstrate that the proposed framework not only tolerates illumination variability but also learns robust illumination-invariant representations, making it well-suited for mobile biometric authentication.

Application of Formable Transform for Solving Growth and Decay Problems, Logistic Growth Model and Prey-Predator Model

    Güngör, Nihan

Integral transforms have become the focus of investigations, because they allow the solution of significant problems in the domains of science and engineering to be accomplished with a minimal number of straightforward calculations. In this study, growth and decay problems, which are crucial in fields such as biology, zoology, physics, chemistry, and economics, are solved utilizing the Formable transform. The Formable transform method is applied to the logistic growth model in population and prey-predator models. The effectiveness and simplicity of the use of the Formable transform in obtaining the solution to these problems are examples.

A note on linear non-Newtonian Volterra integral equations

    Güngör, Nihan

In this study, the Volterra integral equations are defined in the non-Newtonian calculus with the aid of ∗ -integral. The focus of this study is obtaining the solution of linear non-Newtonian integral equations. The ∗ -resolvent kernel method, successive approximations method and Adomian decomposition method are applied for solving non-Newtonian integral equations in the non-Newtonian sense. Some numerical examples are presented to explain the procedure of these methods. Finally, a model that describes a type of the exponential growth model is proposed in the sense of non-Newtonian calculus as an example.

    Güngör, Nihan

In this study, the successive approximations method has been applied to investigate the solution for the linear bigeometric Volterra integral equations of the second kind in the sense of bigeometric calculus. The conditions to be taken into consideration for the bigeometric continuity and the uniqueness of the solution of linear bigeometric Volterra integral equations of the second kind are researched. Finally, some numerical examples are presented to illustrate successive approximations method.

Continuity of superposition operators on the double sequence spaces of maddox L(p)

    Güngör, Nihan; Sağır, Birsen

Petranuarat and Kemprasit (Southeast Asian Bull Math 21:139–147, 1997) characterized continuity of the superposition operator acting from the sequence space lp into lq where 1 ≤ p, q < ∞. Sağır and Güngör defined the superposition operator Pg by Pg(x) = (g(k, s, xks))∞k,s=1 for all real double sequences (xks) where g: N2 × R → R and gave continuity of the superposition operator acting from the double sequence spaces Lp into Lq for 1 ≤ p, q < ∞. In this paper, we characterize the continuity of the superposition operator acting from Maddox double sequence spaces L(p) into L(q)where p = (pks) and q = (qks) are bounded double sequences of positive numbers.

    Güngör, Nihan; Sagir, Birsen

Let 1 <= p < infinity and omega be Beurling's weight function on R-d. In this article, we demonstrate some harmonic properties of Sobolev space W-k(p)(R-d) which consists of all functions on R-d whose weak derivatives up to and including order k belong to L-p( R-d). Also, we deal with some harmonic properties of intersection space A(k,omega)(p)(R-d) = L-omega(1)(R-d) boolean AND W-k(p)(R-d) by aid of Beurling algebra L-omega(1)(R-d) and Sobolev space W-k(p)(R-d). Finally, we research the inclusions and continuous embeddings between the spaces A(k,omega)(p)(Omega) where Omega subset of R-d be open set.

    Sağir, Birsen; Güngör, Nihan

Let R be set of all real numbers, N be the set of all natural numbers and N2 = N×N. In this paper, we define the superposition operator Pg where g: N2×R → R by Pg ((xks)) = g(k,s,xks) for all real double sequence (xks). Chew & Lee [4] and Petranuarat & Kemprasit [11] have characterized Pg: c0 → l1 and Pg: c0 → lq where 1 ≤ q < ∞, respectively. The main aim of this paper is to construct the necessary and sufficient conditions for the boundedness and continuity of Pg: Cr0 → L1 and Pg: Cr0 → Lp where 1≤ p< ∞.

Let 1≤q, p < ∞ and υ,w be Beurling's weight functions on Rd. In this article we deal with harmonic properties of intersection space Aq,pk,υ,w (Rd) = Lqυ (Rd) ∩ Wp,wk (Rd) defined by aid of weighted Lebesgue space Lqυ (Rd) and weighted Sobolev space Wp,wk (Rd). We research the inclusions and inequalities between the spaces Aq,pk,υ,w (Ω) where Ω ⊂ Rd be an open set. Finally, we proved that the spaces M (A1,pk,w (Rd), L1w (Rd)) can be identified with the weighted spaces of bounded measures Mw (Rd).
