The relationship between social capital and image of schools has been investigated in this study of scanning model. 441 teachers who are working in primary schools of Erzurum province participated to this study. The data obtained from the participants were analyzed using SPSS 19 software package. As a result of the principal component analysis, it has been found that social capital consists of share, satisfaction, integration, participation, and trust. Image capital consists of work environment, quality of management, financial stability, emotional appeal, quality of service, and social responsibility. In this research, t test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), correlation and regression analysis were done. Alpha reliability value of social capital and image capital scales was found as .95 and KMO value as .96. It has been found that there was a strong relationship between social capital of school and organizational image. While sub-dimensions of social capital explained 73% of organizational image, sub-dimensions of organizational image explained 71% of social capital. It has been concluded that when social capital of schools becomes stronger, image of schools increases too

Bu araştırmanın amacı, sosyal sermayenin ilköğretim ile ortaöğretim okullarında kullanılma düzeylerinin okul yöneticilerinin görüşleri doğrultusunda incelenmesidir. Bu amaçla, araştırmacı tarafından 45 maddelik veri toplama aracı geliştirilmiştir. Bayburt, Gümüşhane, Trabzon illerindeki 305 okul yöneticisinin görüşleri alınmıştır. Veriler t testi ve tek yönlü varyans analizi yöntemleriyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre; okullardaki sosyal sermeyenin bir unsuru "katılıyorum" düzeyinde, diğer unsurlar ise "kısmen katılıyorum" düzeyinde olduğu görülmektedir. Okullardaki sosyal sermaye düzeyleriyle ilgili olarak"okul türü", "cinsiyet", "eğitim düzeyi" ve "yönetici şekli" değişkenlerinde anlamlı fark gözlenirken; "okul büyüklüğü" ve "çalışma yılı-kıdemi" değişkenlerinde anlamlı fark tespit edilememiştir. Sosyal sermayenin okullardaki düzeyinin, "okul türü" değişkeni bazında ilköğretim okul yöneticilerine göre "iyi düzeyde", ortaöğretim yöneticilerine göre ise "orta düzeyde"dir. "Cinsiyet" değişkenine göre, erkek yöneticiler iyi, bayan yöneticiler ise orta ve daha alt seviyede olduğunu beyan etmektedirler. "Eğitim düzeyi" değişkeni açısından, lisans mezunları iyi, lisansüstü mezunu yöneticiler ise orta düzeyde olduğunu düşünmektedirler. Okullardaki sosyal sermaye düzeyini okul müdürleri iyi, müdür yardımcıları orta seviyede görmektedirler

The aim of the study is obtained student teachers’ perceptions of practicum module. Practicum is a module that provides activities for teaching profession and through which student teachers gain skills and experiences as well as form their teaching discourses for teaching profession at the pre-service level. Practicum takes place in the schools that are governed by the Ministry of Education affecting student teachers’ professional learning significantly. The feedback taken from the student teachers just after they taught is an important indication for the effectiveness and evaluation of the practicum module. Their skills and knowledge in terms of pre- and post-practicum periods are compared. The research sample is 4th.-year (senior) student teachers from the department of Turkish teaching of Erciyes University Education Faculty; end the department of primary teaching of Agrı Education Faculty. Assessment is carried out by using the ‘Form of Practicum Assessment’ and chi-square test on SPSS software. Our results indicate that there are some significant differences between pre- and postpracticum periods in terms of student teachers’ perception of practicum module.
