  A bibliometric review on the sustainability of airport and airline operations

  The importance of sustainability in research has been increasing day by day. This article aims to determine the extent to which sustainability is studied in the context of airport and airline operations in terms of economic, environmental, and social dimensions, and to identify gaps in the literature to guide future research. To achieve this goal, bibliometric analysis is employed. Using the Perish or Publish literature search program, studies obtained from the Scopus database are analyzed using the Vosviewer program to examine the dimensions of sustainability in airport and airline operations. Additionally, the most prolific authors, most cited publications, journals with the highest number of articles published, and the most studied sectors related to the topic are analyzed to contribute to the literature.

  Vazife yoklama defterine göre süleymaniye vakfı çalışanları: ücretler, görevler, unvanlar

  Bu çalışmanın konusu Kanuni Sultan Süleyman tarafından İstanbul’da tesis edilen Süleymaniye Vakfının çalışanlarının analiz edilmesidir. Çalışmanın birincil kaynağı Osmanlı Arşivinde Evkaf (EV) fonunda Evkaf-ı Haremeyn Defterleri (EV.HMH.d.) arasında 1178 numarayla kayıtlı Süleymaniye Vakfına ait 1702 tarihli bir vazife yoklama defteridir. Giriş paragrafında Süleymaniye Vakfı çalışanlarının yoklanması için hazırlandığı belirtilen defterin vakıf muhasebe defterine ek hazırlanan müfredat defterlerden olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Çalışmanın vakıf literatürüne birinci katkısı vazife yoklama defterinin detaylarıyla tanıtılmasıdır. Vakıf çalışanlarının 53 gruba ayrılarak, isim, görev, unvan, ücret, ek ödemeler gibi detaylarla kayıtlandığı defterin ortaya koyduğu ilk sonuç çalışanların genel durumudur. Elde edilen bu bilgiler Süleymaniye Vakfının 1557’de kurulmasıyla hazırlanan tesis senedi yani vakfiye belgesiyle karşılaştırılmıştır. Çalışmada vakıf çalışanlarının sosyal kimlikleri, görev türleri ve bunlar için belirlenen ücretler, bu ücretlerin değişimi Süleymaniye Vakfı örneğinde ortaya konulmuştur. Böylece Osmanlı Devleti’nin iktisadi ve sosyal yaşamında en geniş istihdam kurumu olan vakıfların çalışanları yönüyle işleyişi ve idaresi değerlendirilmiştir.

  Universal basic income debate in the 21ST century

  The roots of basic income can be easily found before the 21st century, but it is very common to see the implementation and evaluation of this concept in this century. Many countries try to implement pilot projects in specific regions and then to evaluate the results. The first question to reply is what are the basic motivations to have basic income programs. The modern welfare states can’t be described as successful for solving the problems of the 21st century, but by implementing basic income they use it as a way of maintaining their sustainability and legitimacy. In addition to that, it can be seen as a tool in order to cope with the crisis of the capitalist system. While an increasing demand has shown up to implement universal basic income for alleviating the effects of the global pandemic, this research tries to present the main features, advantages, and disadvantages of universal basic income.
