Studies show that there is a relationship between psychiatric disorders and this behaviour. One reason causing depression in individuals is the Fear of Negative Evaluation (FNE) (individuals’ social concerns). In this study, it is studied to determine with the test of the developed research model that whether Horizontal Individuality (HI) and/or Normative Compatibility (NC) variables play an “intervening effect” on the relationship between FNE and ICB behaviour. In this regard, data were collected from 102 academics who have been working either in Karadeniz Technical University or Gumushane University by the method of simple random sampling.
