According to the Pooled Mean Group (PMG) estimator results of the study, a 1% increase in the unemployment rate leads to an increase of 0.218% in the economic growth rate in the long term for NUTS 2 regions in general. Furthermore, a 1% increase in inflation leads to a decrease rate of 0.217% in economic growth in the long term. When the PMG estimator results are evaluated in terms of NUTS 2 regions, it was concluded that there is a long-term relationship between the economic growth, unemployment, and inflation variables in NUTS 2 regions of Ağrı, Van, Tekirdağ, Balıkesir, İzmir, Kocaeli, Kayseri, Zonguldak, Kastamonu, Samsun, and Trabzon. On the other hand, an increase in the inflation rate in NUTS 2 regions of Malatya, Şanlıurfa, İstanbul, Konya, Antalya, Hatay, Kırıkkale, and Trabzon has a negative effect on economic growth. Moreover, the results that were obtained for NUTS 2 regions of Erzurum, Gaziantep, and Mardin conclude that increases in the inflation rate have a positive effect on economic growth in the long term. Finally, it was put forward that the increases in unemployment rates in NUTS 2 regions of Malatya, Şanlıurfa, İstanbul, Aydın, Bursa, Kocaeli, Antalya, Kırıkkale, and Trabzon decreases the economic growth, as also indicated by the results. The results of the study put forward the necessity of economic policy practices that take into consideration the development structure of NUTS 2 regions as well as the relationships among variables in fighting against unemployment and inflation and in achieving targeted growth rates.</dc:description><dc:date>2022</dc:date><dc:type>Article</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/r/gumushane/17348</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>1301-370X</dc:identifier><dc:language>tr</dc:language><dc:relation>Türkiye Sosyal Araştırmalar Dergisi</dc:relation><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccess</dc:rights><dc:type>info:eu-repo/semantics/article</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://gumushane-rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/tr/items/gumushane/17348</dc:identifier></oai_dc:dc></metadata></record></GetRecord></OAI-PMH>
