In this study, the relationships between FDI and exchange rate volatility were determined by symmetric (Fourier Toda-Yamamoto) and asymmetric (Hatemi-J) causality tests using the monthly data for the period of 2001:M1 - 2020:M2. According to the symmetric causality test results, there is a one-way relationship from FDI to exchange rate volatility. According to the results of the asymmetric causality test, there are two-way and significant causal relationships between the variables of FDI and exchange rate volatility. These results show the importance of reducing exchange rate volatility for the Turkish economy.</dc:description><dc:publisher>ESKISEHIR OSMANGAZI UNIV, FAC EDUCATION</dc:publisher><dc:date>2021-08</dc:date><dc:type>Article</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/r/gumushane/16832</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>https://doi.org/10.17153/oguiibf.887429</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>1306-6730</dc:identifier><dc:language>tr</dc:language><dc:relation>ESKISEHIR OSMANGAZI UNIVERSITESI IIBF DERGISI-ESKISEHIR OSMANGAZI UNIVERSITY JOURNAL OF ECONOMICS AND ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES</dc:relation><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess</dc:rights><dc:type>info:eu-repo/semantics/article</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://gumushane-rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/tr/items/gumushane/16832</dc:identifier></oai_dc:dc></metadata></record></GetRecord></OAI-PMH>
