This chapter responds to that gap by developing a policy-aligned integrated index for monitoring and reporting in EIA. The proposed framework links environmental indicators to ESG themes, SDG targets, and European Green Deal priorities, then uses the Best Worst Method to derive transparent and defensible weights. Rather than presenting the index as a substitute for detailed evidence, the chapter treats it as a structured synthesis that can clarify how monitoring results relate to policy commitments and reporting needs. An illustrative application shows how the framework can organise indicators, support interpretation, and remain sensitive to alternative weighting choices. The chapter concludes by outlining the practical value and limits of using integrated indices in EIA contexts.</dc:description><dc:publisher>IGI Global</dc:publisher><dc:date>2026</dc:date><dc:type>Book Chapter</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/r/gumushane/13749</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>https://doi.org/10.4018/979-8-3373-9018-5.ch005</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>979-833739020-8</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>979-833739018-5</dc:identifier><dc:language>en</dc:language><dc:relation>Integrated and Smart Sustainability Indicators for Environmental Impact Evaluation</dc:relation><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccess</dc:rights><dc:type>info:eu-repo/semantics/bookPart</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://gumushane-rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/tr/items/gumushane/13749</dc:identifier></oai_dc:dc></metadata></record></GetRecord></OAI-PMH>
