The surface morphology, microstructure and phase identification were analysed by X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscope. Wear behaviour characterisation was carried out using a ball-on-disc tribometer. The results of the analyses showed that the electroless Ni-B coating had a significantly amorphous structure in the as-deposited condition. It was also determined that the coating structure crystallised after the heat treatment and wear resistance of pure titanium increased after electroless Ni-B coating. Particularly, upon the heat treatment, it was observed that wear resistance and surface hardness of pure titanium considerably increased.</dc:description><dc:publisher>SAGE Publications Ltd</dc:publisher><dc:date>2016</dc:date><dc:type>Article</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/r/gumushane/13390</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>https://doi.org/10.1177/1350650115588568</dc:identifier><dc:identifier>1350-6501</dc:identifier><dc:language>en</dc:language><dc:relation>Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part J: Journal of Engineering Tribology</dc:relation><dc:rights>info:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccess</dc:rights><dc:type>info:eu-repo/semantics/article</dc:type><dc:identifier>https://gumushane-rdlopen.rawdatalibrary.net/tr/items/gumushane/13390</dc:identifier></oai_dc:dc></metadata></record></GetRecord></OAI-PMH>
